AccountNow PrePaid MasterCard Review
Account Now is probably one of the best prepaid master cards available today but on that same note it’s not the best way to rebuild or build credit. No pre paid card reports to the major credit bureaus and most of the pre paid credit cards including Account Now have fees to put money on the card. Account now does have a feature where users can have their pay checks direct deposited into the Account Now cards. But for them to load the card at a money Gram or a western union will cost the Account Now customer money.
Using Account Now To Build Credit
Pre Paid cards are not primarily used to build credit and Account Now does not report to any of the three major credit reporting agencies. Account Now reports to the PRBC (visit: http://prbc.com for more infomation) The PRBC which stands for Payment Reporting Builds Credit is a national credit bureau that captures consumers’ history of paying rent, utility, and other recurring bills that aren’t reported to traditional bureaus.
So although you can say this is better than nothing don’t let them fool you into thinking that you will have outstanding credit by joining Account Now. If you are signing up to Account Now to build credit you might want to consider alternative options. On the other hand if you are just looking for a pre paid credit card Account Now is by far my top choice.

Secured Credit Cards
If you want to establish or re-establish your credit history i highly recommend getting a secured credit card. A secure credit card reports to all major credit bureaus and it’s a REAL credit credit card. It works just like an unsecured credit card except you must a minimum deposit to get the card. This minimum deposit will be used as your credit limit so if you deposit $300 you credit limit will be $300 and if you don’t want the card anymore and your balance is $0 owning then you can get your $300 back.
The Public Savings Bank Classic Visa Card
How does a secured visa credit card with 0% APR for 6 month’s sound to you what about a minimum deposit of $200. All this while being able to build re-build establish or re-establish your credit. There is no comparison to the Public Savings Bank Classic Visa Card more of the features are listed below.
• 3-bureau credit reporting
• 0% APR for 6 months
• No annual or monthly fees
• Low $200 minimum deposit
• No credit check or credit inquiry
• No income or employment verification
• 25 day grace period
No credit history check and also no employment verification, unlike the Account now card employment is not even a major concern with this card. I only see Account Now being an asset if the banks won’t give you a checking account otherwise i advise you to get a secure credit card namely the Public Savings Bank Classic Visa Card
The types of People who i feel need this card are very simular to the people who use the Account Now Card but again with this card you are building credit with the top three MAJOR credit bureaus unlike Account now where you are building credit only with the PRBC which is not a major credit bureau the PRBC is not going to help you get that dream house or dream car you deserve the types of people who should consider the Public Savings Bank Classic Visa Card are people with:
• BAD CREDIT
• NO CREDIT
• DAMAGED or THIN CREDIT
• Students & immigrants
• People who need credit tradelines
• People looking to buy a home or car
• People looking to rent an apartment
• People who need a credit card for travel, hotel or car reservations
Also if safety is your concern the Public Savings Bank Classic Visa Card is an FDIC insured bank. On top of this Public Savings Bank Classic Visa Card customers can also expect:
• Free 24-hour online account access and bill payment
• Benefits include travel and car rental insurance
• Zero liability for fraud
• Free emergency card replacement
To me it’s a much better choice to go with a secured credit card rather than settling with any pre paid credit card. No matter how these pre paid credit card issuers glamorize their credit cards in the end they are still just Pre Paid Credit Cards and tend to cost people more money than just having cash. Account Now is probably the best Pre paid Credit card available but I recommend getting a secured credit card if you want to build credit and in terms of minimum deposits and building credit there is no better company to choose than Public Savings Bank Classic Visa Card
