Australia’s Non Stop bush fires: Can saltwater from the ocean be used to put out wildfires?
To start Australia is approximately 7,741,220 sq km, while the United States is approximately 9,833,517 sq km. So, I’m by no means saying that saltwater could easily have put out these bushfires in Australia, however it could have been used to combat it. Ever heard of oil pipelines?
Can saltwater from the ocean be used to put out wildfires?
Yes, but there may be consequences for plant life.
salt water can be used to put out wildfires. However, salt water can harm plant life and particular species are sensitive to salinity levels. Thus, using salt water may not be a wise first choice in putting out wildfires
Well, yea there is oil pipelines that can stretch for miles and miles and there could easily pipelines that could stretch miles and miles and be strategically placed to address wildfires, but you see distillation is frowned upon by many environmentalists and government regulators as being bad for the environment? Well, it’s January 31, 2020, and many parts of Australia is covered in smoke, primarily because of Government regulations.
I’m not anti-government, but one day I hope humans become smarter and stop putting their full trust in Government leadership because a lot of the problems humanity faces, especially in the developed world is avoidable. It’s not like this is the first time Australia dealt with wildfires.
It’s a well-known fact that capitalism makes the governments richer if this wasn’t the case, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Russia and all the more isolated Communist countries you can think of would be rich because isolation would equate to riches, but no, it’s humans sharing different ideas and trading information via an incentive that allows humans to think of creative ay to make the lives of humanity better.
It hurts when I see Canada on fire, it hurts when I see America and hurts just as much when I see Australia on fire, because let’s be honest we all know we can fix these problems easily. Desalination even exists on a retail level, it’s not like this is some strange untapped invention that hasn’t been presented to governments all over the world to at least address wildfires, it’s just there’s always an excuse as to why it’s not economical.
Call it for it is, as far as the public sector goes, Desalination isn’t economical because of labour unions, to all you Libertarians blame central banking all you want, the real problem with the public sectors in most developed nations are the Public Sector Labour Unions who continuously drive prices up.
Even if humanity had a gold standard, pubic sector labour unions would still drive the cost of labour up. To all you socialists who want the government to do more, I challenge you to ban public sector workers from unionizing. Unionizing is for the Private Sector, if you’re unionized as a public sector worker, you’re putting your personal needs ahead of the public good!
Australia is on fire and the main reason is not because of a handful of rich people, controlling the money, it’s because of public sector workers unionizing and people assuming that the labour unions aren’t working with rich globalists who want to prevent any form of competition from challenging their economic power. Australia is on fire and everyone knows this problem is preventable! Wake up people!
