The Facebook Replacement
I wrote my first article regarding Facebook in April https://richinwriters.com/facebook-advertising-scam-information/ and like I predicted the Facebook decline in my opinion is approaching. I keep telling people don’t mess with people’s privacy, once you do that you’ve just poked a hole in your own ship. This is where young kids take control. Do not under estimate the youth of the world. There’s a reason why Twitter took off, the reason is twitter has no advertising and plus twitter doesn’t get into your personal business. Facebook is deep in peoples personal business “microchip anyone.”
How Myspace and Twitter are similar
MySpace is very similar to twitter in a way also, MySpace doesn’t get to much into peoples personal lives. The argument could be well MySpace is not what it once was. Yes true but it’s still one of the top social networks. Facebook in my opinion is going to go into a deep decline. Especially once users find out how difficult it can be to close a Facebook account. I am an internet marketer and what sicken me the most is when I hear other internet marketers hovering around Facebook being this next big thing because you can Target your audience so well.
Why Google is so successful
This again ties me back to why people still to this day don’t truly understand what Google has done to be so successful. Google like all other smart major corporations has taken the ‘customer service’ approach to their search engine. When building a business for the LONG term you have look out for your customers. Facebook did the dumbest thing promoting themselves for the advertiser. If you read Facebook’s advertising ads it says something like this “Reach the exact audience you want with relevant targeted ads.”
This is a common case of choosing the WRONG side. Personally i feel offended even seeing that. What goes through my mind is “so this was the reason they asked me all of those personal questions, so they could sell it to advertisers. So you understand my point and don’t think I am just ranting lets take a look at Bing & Google’s approach to pay per click advertising.
First Google “Advertising Made Easy: Sign Up, Create an Ad, and Post on Google.” Notice how Google is not choosing sides.
Now Bing “Reach Millions of New Customers With Targeted Ads on Bing. Sign Up!” notice how Bing doesn’t choose sides
Now lets go back to another one of Facebook’s ads “Reach your customers before they start searching” again i feel offended just seeing that, so Facebook from my understanding is reiterating the fact that they took my personal information to help their ADVERTISERS.
Facebook’s Aggressive Advertising Style
This aggressive advertising style Facebook has embraced unless they change it soon is going to smack them dead in the face. I want to remind anyone reading this that unlike search engines Social Media sites are not a necessity online. Facebook can easily be replaced and all it takes one creative idea and simple shift in perspective. Social media is not a necessity and i have this strange feeling Facebook will be the first online major casualty if it doesn’t happen to Groupon first.
MySpace’s time in sun has come to an end and its only a matter of time before Facebook starts to show signs of slowing. Now I want to make it clear that i don’t think Facebook will crash and burn. What i’m saying is people eventually will start to talk about it less and less and in time it will just be another intrusive social media network that people would just rather not talk about. Facebook’s replacement won’t come in just one form but in many forms the struggle for social media power will be Facebook’s decline whatever that means…
Facebook’s quiet replacement in my opinion will be Foursquare.com
