The main cause of misery
For those of reading this wanting the answer right now the main source of misery is not having a definite chief aim for your future.
The saying misery loves company is true and it happens because a person feels stuck or persons purpose or mission in life is missing.
The beginning stages of misery can happen for a variety of reasons maybe a death occurred in your life that altered how you think? Maybe you had what you thought was a worthy purpose in life only to find out that you were wrong. Maybe you just turned an age that makes you feel old and for whatever reason you don’t feel like you once you did. Maybe you’re one of those people that allow other people to control the way you look or feel about yourself. On that theme maybe you’re a pushover that allows other people to push you and your thoughts about yourself around. Whatever it is all of it starts from not having a definite chief aim!
In times of struggle it’s usually easier to find a definite chief aim for example if you wind up in prison your definite chief aim is probably to get out of there as soon as possible. If you’re in debt your definite chief aim is probably to get out of debt. If you have children your definite chief aim will probably be to give them the best life you know how to give. But let’s stop right there, let’s say you have children and your goal was to give them the best life you could give them but something unexpected happens along the way that either stops you from doing this or makes it more difficult for you to achieve your definite chief aim what do you do?
I’ll tell you what most miserable people will do they’ll GIVE UP! In life one of the biggest lessons a person must learn is that you can’t control people, you can influence people based on your example but you can’t control people with your words. This is why we have laws in WRITING!
A miserable person is usually a quitter in life and once they’ve quit – to justify it they’ll try to make or try to make others quit as well. Misery loves company on the flip side happiness loves company too. So more than likely a miserable person will attract more miserable people into their lives and a happy person will attract other happy people into their lives and in general all of this happens because some people have a definite chief aim while others don’t.
Miserable people Gossip
One sure fire way to know someone is miserable is that they love to gossip or talk negative about other humans.
Why can’t such and such person live up to my every expectation a miserable person will say
Miserable people in general want to blame others for their misfortune. 2 examples I hope you the reader understand.
Mother A loses a child to gun violence after this mother loses her child she decides that she’s going to do whatever it takes to make sure that this doesn’t happen to another mother. She starts a foundation and this becomes her definite chief aim other mothers who have gone through similar hardships join this foundation and they all work together to try to find a solution to gun violence that’s their definite chief aim.
On the flip side
Mother B loses her son to gun violence she did everything she could to give her son a better life she’s lost her definite chief aim which was to give her son a better life she no longer has a definite chief aim and turns to drugs which temporarily solves her misery problem but the effect of the drugs wear off and misery takes over life. People try to help her but the root cause of her misery remains undiscovered, which was what she believed was her life’s mission is now gone.
The story above doesn’t make one mother better than the other, the story was only used to show the root causes of misery!
When a person denies themselves the right to have a definite chief aim they’ll wander around aimlessly and this can happen whether a miserable person lives in a poor country or a rich country.
Misery and economics conditions
A miserable person in a poor country usually sounds a lot like a miserable person in rich country the only difference is usually the financial economics of their situations.
I’ve met people in poor countries that were dirt poor but still optimistic about their future. Most of the stories I’ve heard from them are they have a dream to travel to the U.S, Australia, Canada or Europe and further their education, they want to make lots of money, enough to one day help out their families, they want to go to school and recieve a good education, even though they’re currently poor their mind is rich with a definite chief aim. That state of mind keeps them smiling and keeps them from falling into misery.
An optimistic person in the U.S for example can’t believe how lucky he is. Life can’t get much better than this he says to himself. I live in the best country in the world, I can think however I want and as long as I obey the law I can do whatever I want. As long as I stay focused on my goals and work hard success is guaranteed to me, how can anyone be miserable in this country he says to himself the streets are practically paved with gold.
Now on the flip side of that a miserable person in rich country doesn’t view the world the way the optimistic happy man does . What a miserable person sees are all the negatives in their life, furthermore their misery won’t allow them to see brighter days so even if the sun is shining all they can think about is when it’s going to rain. It’s a very similar in what is called the 3rd world although their situations are tougher in comparison a miserable person in any country is a miserable person and a few of the ways a happy person recognizes a miserable person is the that miserable people complain, gossip and speak negatively about almost everything.
Is wanting what you can’t have? Or NOT wanting what you already have the main causes of misery?
One way to answer this question is saying sure it is…. But that’s not the root cause of misery, the root cause of misery lies within you. If you choose to be miserable you’ll attract misery everything you see, taste or touch will make you feel miserable. You’ll unconsciously attract misery into your life and you’ll also repel anything or any person that might want to bring happiness into your life. Misery lives miserable company it’s the laws of universe and if you pay close and conscious attention you’ll notice it all around you.
Who Wants to follow the Miserable Prophet???
In all religions the prophet, prophets or deities all had a definite chief aim and they fulfilled their definite chief aim and it’s the main reason why those religious prophets and deities have converts and followers thousands of years after their stories were told.
People in general don’t want to be around misery nor do people want to read stories or watch movies about miserable people.
Imagine a person came up to you said “hey wanna to watch the story of the miserable people?” In your mind you’d probably laugh, and if you watched it or read it you’d expect that the story of misery was either comedic or somehow inspirational.
There’s nothing noble or even entertaining about a miserable individual so if you’re feeling miserable change the way you think and if you’re surrounded by miserable people try your absolute best not to let them suck you in, try to be the example of what you want to be and do your best to mentally align yourself with your definite chief aim.
If the possibility arises that allows you to get away from the miserable people in your life take it. Try your best to make sure the opportunity is something better than what you currently have.
Always remember that it’s okay to change your definite chief aim, sometimes things happen in our lives that are beyond our control so again remember that it’s okay to change your definite chief aim it’s your life and nobody else’s.
If you live in a free country don’t allow yourself to become what others want you to become be. Be as free as bird and find a definite chief aim that makes you feel aligned with the person you want to be or always wanted to be.
I’ll finish this blog post the same way I started it
The main source of misery is not having a definite chief aim for your future.
