Is MyCleanPC.com a Scam
Whenever signing up for cleaners or any software such as this one is making sure that you read the terms and conditions located at the bottom of the MyCleanPC.com page in this instance. I remember a few years ago I signed up for this PC Cleaner and it had hidden charges. What’s worse about it is that it was nearly impossible for me to cancel the re-occuring payments. For the record I’ve never tried the MyCleanPC.com PC Cleaner so I’m not sure how their payment system works.
But when I signed up the PC compny was using a service that used this company called SWreg to receive payments. To make a long story short I had to report my credit card stolen in order to stop those lunatics from taking money out of my account. Whats worse is the company disappeared without a trace a few month’s later.

I was skimming through their terms and conditions and stumbled on something you might ant to consider reading before signing up to My Clean PC.

Payment and Services
Minor releases of the Software are free for one year from the original date of purchase. Subsequent upgrades and software releases are provided through the CyberDefender Software Subscription Plan. All purchasers of the Software as well as CyberDefender LiveTech services are automatically subscribed to the Plan and the original credit card will be charged automatically (or withdraw funds via electronic transfer from your checking account – depending on what payment method you are using). Subsequent payments are billed on or about the anniversary date for the applicable year.

Those online terms and conditions can be trick sometime but on that note on their terms and conditions page they do have their contact information, that being said I’d recommend checking it out before giving them your credit card information. Call them and ask them if there are any re-occurring charges or hidden fees that you should know about. You can go to their terms and conditions page to find this information

Final Thoughts On MyCleanPC.com
My guess is there is re-occuring charges for this software probably for upkeep puposes. If you we’re to check out most of the free PC Cleaner softwares like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware you might notice that they’re not updated as frequently. So that could be the reason for any extra charges MyCleanPC.com might have that being said use caution before handing out your credit card online always at least skim through the terms and conditions it will help you save time and hidden charges in the long run. For those of you looking for Free PC Cleaners consider visiting http://download.cnet.com and then typing Free PC Cleaner in their search box.
There are allot of software developers creating new softwares for this purpose everyday. The downside of course is their might be spyware and other things so make sure you read the reviews before downloading.
It is a scam because, they DO not tell you in the TV commercial you have to pay. Where I come from, that’s called false advertising. I think it is utterly stupid, that, with ALL of these computer repair shops that are out there, the least SOMEONE can do is allow this to be FREE. But no, everything, requires a credit card.
