The reason Donald Trump is a Birther
The real reason Donald Trump has become a part of the birther movement in my opinion is strictly politics. Barack Obama as it stands right now has an aura around him, this aura as it stands now makes everything Barack Obama does sound righteous. In the world of politics the only way to take a man of the people down is to make something up. Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, it’s a small island, and it’s an easy target to make things up, on top of this Barack Obama’s own grandmother does say that Barack Obama was born in Kenya, of course later on Obama’s grandmother does correct herself but the bottom line is she does say it at one point. That being said Donald Trump takes the birther position in my opinion because it draws attention to Donald Trump.
Questions people start asking about Donald Trump’s birther claims are “has Donald Trump lost his mind?” “is Donald Trump trying to sell us something?”, “Is this some sort of marketing gimmick for Donald Trump?”. The bottom line here is Donald trump is drawing attention to himself people are starting to talk which shifts the attention of the people from Barack Obama to Donald Trump. Also remember this is free marketing for Donald Trump, his name is on every bodies lips which will slowly starts to make people fantasize about Donald Trump becoming the next president of the United States.
Politics throughout history has always been dirty
People tend forget the politics is a dirty game. Former President George W Bush proved it when he went toe to toe with Al Gore, Barack Obama proved it when he faced off with Hilary Clinton. Donald Trump doesn’t care much whether people believe him or not in regards to the birther movement. All Donald trump is doing is playing dirty. Do you think Donald trump became a billionaire being nice? Business, politics are all about winning. In the United States we have rules like any other country and as long as you play within those rules you can say and do whatever you want.
Personally I think Donald Trump’s stance is a genius idea and my hope is that other republicans can learn from Donald Trump’s example if Donald Trump doesn’t run for the United States presidency. Money is an ugly subject the average person wants to hear nothing about, as it stands now republicans are only talking about money and cutting this and cutting that. Things like this scare voters and ultimately will make voters crawl back to Barack Obama. Donald Trump calls into question the legitimacy of the United States president, such an audacious stance by Donald Trump is what U.S Politics is all about. Shift voters’ attention into a theatrical realm, it’s worked throughout history and Donald Trump has proving it yet again. In my opinion this is politics at its best and if Donald Trump runs for president against Barack Obama I think it will be something for the ages.
Do I think Barack Obama was born in the United States?
I do believe Barack Obama was born in the United States. That being said that doesn’t mean I won’t question it or ask questions about it. This is what people at the moment I’m writing this (April 2011) don’t understand. The more Donald Trump pounds this point into people’s minds the more people will be more willing to except it and also respect Donald Trump and his position on the birther movement. Again remember the type of free advertising Donald Trump is getting in regards to his birther Claims. Now imagine what would happen if he runs for president and places like CNN, Fox News and MSNBC start talking about this subject on a daily basis what do you think will ultimately start to happen?
I’ll tell you what I think; I think people will start to open up to the idea even more. After a year of hearing this people probably won’t look at Donald Trump as if he’s lost his mind. In fact people will probably start to respect Donald Trump for his stance on the birther movement. Another thing you have to put into question is the fact that Barack Obama is not a typical African American. Barack Obama’s African lineage comes from Kenya; the average African American lineage was in the United States from the creation of the United States. I say this mainly to say that Donald Trump can possibly even win the support of many African American supporters. In my opinion Donald Trump’s stance on the birther movement is a genius idea and I hope he runs for the United States presidency.
