somnapure Review Is It a Scam
Before committing to this sleep aid i advise the reader to make sure he or she reads the terms and conditions. Somnapure found at the Peaklife.com website does a good job making it self look legit but i advise the reader to be careful and to again read the terms and conditions before signing up. The terms and conditions can be found at https://www.peaklife.com/terms/somnapure or they can be found on the bottom of the page where Somnapure asks for your credit card information. I recommend at least skimming through it before you sign up. Below is preview of their terms its not the terms in its entirety please read before buying.

How Does the Auto-Ship Trial Offer Work?
A. You must pay a shipping and handling fee of $4.99 for us to send you a 14 day trial supply of Peak Life. We ship the product the day after you place your order (except that orders placed Friday-Sunday will be shipped the following Monday). We allow up to 4 days for you to receive the trial supply. Thus, in order for you to have 14 days to try the product, we consider the end date for your trial period to be 18 days after you place your order, which is 14 days plus 4 days for processing and transit.
B. If you do not call customer service to cancel within [18] days of ordering your free trial, you will continue with our auto-ship program. See details below.
Auto-Ship Program
Unless you cancel before the end of your trial period as specified above, we will ship your first 30-day supply of Peak Life at the end of your trial period. Thereafter, you will continue to receive a fresh 30-day supply of Peak Life each month for as long as you stay a member of our auto-ship program. The card you provided when you ordered the trial product will be automatically charged $54.98 (plus tax if applicable) when each new product ships. To cancel future shipments in the auto-ship program, you must call 1-877-869-3304 at least 1 day prior to the date that your next monthly delivery ships. Customers located in Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, please email us at [email protected]. Our customer service center is open Mon-Fri: 7am – 9pm CST and Sat: 8am – 1pm CST.

Does Somnapure/PeakLife Work?
This is one of the reasons I wrote this post because I wouldn’t dare try it I would like people to share their stories below. I want people to explain there experiences with Somnapure good or bad by doing this I think people can draw their own conclusions about Somnapure. If you’re having trouble sleeping please consult a doctor first I find drinking green tea helps me sleep easier, I also squeeze lemon in my green tea which helps a lot as well. Some people have found that Alteril has worked for them I advise anyone who has questions to contact them by phone as they can better answer your questions.

#1 It does not work! I felt tired the next day as if I had been drugged.
#2 The marketing is deceiving and predatory
That very useful information about somnapure.
It is a ripoff. I didn’t read the small print and I ordered the “free” trial offer. I paid for and received the “free” trial offer…it didn’t work. I set the trial aside and forgot about the Somnapure until I saw a $74.98 charge appear on my statement.
I then read the “small” print and realized that I had agreed to their auto ship program. I called and canceled the program and requested return authorization. I was offered a lower price, free merchandise, etc., but I asked for a RMA that I received via email.
I returned the pills when I received them and today a credit appeared for $69.99. This was a cheap lesson for my stupidity.
I fell for the deal too and called and cancelled after agreeing to pay for the 2nd bottle. thenthey sent me another one today. Since they are using the U.S. mail I think a complaint with the postal authorities is appropriate. has anyone done this? /They use the GNC on their advertising are they owned by GNC. maybe we can complain there.
DID NOT PUT ORDER THRU YET THEY CALLED ME SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL I ANSWRED & TOLD TEM TO UG OFF.
Somnapure worked really well for me. I took it as the instructions said. 1 hour before going to bed. I slept for a good 8 hours. I felt rested when I awoke. By the way I bought my 30 day supply of Somnapure at CVS Pharmacy, for $16.17 including tax, with no autoship.I have used it for almost a month now and I am very happy with Somnapure. I work shift work which includes early morning shifts followed by a shift where I get off at midnight. My doctor says I have Sleep Apnea(SP) I would go 3 or 4 days with no sleep then I would sleep for 12 to 14 Hours. I was always tired and groggy, at work. Now I feel rested. Forget the Autoship though. Bad idea. Thanks Randy
I have had trouble sleeping for years…I have tried various OTC sleep aids as well as prescription. Without taking s sleep aid I might get two good nights sleep a year. I had just given up on ever getting a good nights sleep without feeling groggy or having other side effects the next day and thought it is really not worth it.
I have been using Somnapure for two weeks and it has really worked for me. I wake feeling rested, energized and refreshed. I am more alert and focused at work. I feel great and plan to continue to use this product.
I like fact that it contains all natural ingredients. The product contains Valerian (relation), Hops (increasing alpha waves), Melatonin (regulates sleep patterns), passion flower (promotes sleep), chamomile (Calming), lemon balm (promotes relaxation) and L-Theanine (relaxing). I also liek the fact that the product is formulated and produced in the Unites States.
I found Somnapure at CVS for $14.97 for a bottle of 30 which is two weeks supply. Also included in the box is a coupon for $2.00 off one box or $5.00 off two boxes.
One more thing I forgot to mention in my comments is that you will need to deal with a slight bad odor because of the Valerian. Valarian has a strong smell but Somnapure is just a mild odor, not as bad as straight Valeria.
Don’t ever use an auto ship program…you will likely always get ripped off. Just go the CVS.
Does not work, go see your doctor for a prescription of Adivan. It costs me only $2.98 for a 90 day supply. RICK
I purchased the product this afternoon at WalMart for $11.88, and I had a $2 coupon! Learned long ago never to order “free” sample off internet that requires a credit card!
Am eager to try the product tonight. Wish more responses addressed results rather than frustrations with ordering .
Got ripped off too…..
I, too, wish I had read this before that fateful day. So here I am overdrawn on my account, having to return an unwanted product, retired and angry – with them and with myself!
We actually believed the product might be wonderful since they asked us to try it for just shipping and handling. We haven’t tried it yet, and recived another 30 day supply with an automatic invoice against our credit card. HOpefully, the return of the product will credit our account.
Too bad you can’t trust anyone without reading the extremely fine print. Since we are in our eighties, it is very hard to read very fine print. Guess they took advantage of us. We will try their sample one day.
You can get the same effects from taking valerian root capsules which can be found cheaply in any store. You can even find it in bulk form at some health food stores, very cheap. You can capsulate it or make tea which is very effective.
Free trial offer is just to get your credit card information to bill you every month. All free trials are similar, must pay S&H with credit card, no other forms of payment accepted. Free things usually are not free and one ends up with stress trying to get out of the mess.
Question? Why would you knowingly purchase something without first and foremost reading the terms of conditions; especially when it comes to ordering via debit or credit card? Not smart.
I use somnapure and it works for me but it might not work for you. Yes it is expensive at the companies website but you can get a bottle for $14.99 at CVS or can get it online.
I should have known better than to order the FREE trial of Somnapure! I didn’t read the terms BEFORE I completed the order. I received it yesterday and called the number to cancel the autoship. Because I just received it, they wouldn’t cancel without my having tried it. Actually extended my trial period another five days. I told them it didn’t matter, I was still going to cancel the auto-ship. So, I am going to have to wait until the 14 day trial is up and CALL THEM AGAIN. Buyers beware — READ the fine print.
This site is a good thing. However I am more than amazed at how many “suckers” there still are out there.
So much is “exposed” in the news all the time about these and other fraudsters, when is it going to sink in, people.
Like one gal, I always google any doubtful claims I see.
Consider the one about a postage stamp that was put out several years ago with Arabic lettering on it. Turns out, via google, it was a Christmas message for peace amongst all the people, yet the religious right forwarded it with the dire message that it was a plot and we Americans should not allow such a subversive THING to printed on OUR stamps.
And to make this whole scamming thing even sadder, my religious friend knows the sister of the Arab woman who initially worked toward this stamps production…..and likes her! Didn’t change her culpability, tho. She still sends out alerts on all sorts of “emergencies” and believes anything on Fox news. (sigh)

TO THOSE WHO FEEL COMPANY SCAMMED THEM:
go to site Lawyers and Settlements for info on consumer class actions against companies for deceptive marketing practices/false claims for their product
I did order the free trial and fortunately did read the Terms and conditions. I called them immediately upon receipt of the product and opted out of the “auto shipment plan”. I did receive their acknowledgement of the cancellation. ($55.00+) per shipment. I found Somnapure at my local pharmacy at $14.00+.. Buyer Beware.
I have had a major issue with sleep for over a year now…I normally sleep 2 hours, wake up, get another hour-1/2 or 2 hours, wake up and then hopefully another hour of sleep before getting up. Normally 5 hours total every night. Exhausting! I was so hoping Somnapure would work…but after 4 nights of exactly the same sleep pattern I tried another supplement from Whole Foods called “SleepThru” by Gaia. 9 hours of solid sleep… I’m thrilled! It costs about the same – $16 for 30 pills or 15 day supply. Somnapure may work for some, but not everyone. I’m so happy I found something that works for me.
I noticed the difference in the structure of the pill might have something to do with it…Somnapure is compressed powder and Sleepthru is liquid in a gel capsule. I think anything liquid has a better chance of reaching your bloodstream. Somnapure…take note!
FULL DISCLOSURE: I work for a company that sells sleep supplements. I’m posting this to introduce readers to another company that WILL NOT take advantage of them via small print and con-artist tactics in order to sell a product. We do not offer samples, coupons, or discounts. We do offer a 30-day return policy should the product not meet your standards for any reason. This policy extends to shipping and handling charges. Our product is natural & vegan.
That being said, I’ll save the main sales pitch for anyone who wishes to visit our website at ZeezSleep.com. You can connect with us on Twitter or Facebook should you have any questions. Wishing you a great night’s sleep!

No need to order this stuff thru Peak Life for an outrageous price. CVS sells bottles of 30 tablets for $14.99.
thank you for this!
I had just ordered a “free” 14-day supply, cost 2.99 for shipping.
then I read this site, and went back to search for the fine print, but didn’t find it. Anyway, any company that has these policies is one that I don’t want to deal with.
I can find the ingredients elsewhere.
I got suckered by “free trial”
The one commonality that I read is from people that lament that they failed to read the terms and conditions and then complain they are being ripped off by the company. The policy clearly states that if you call their toll free number within 18 days of placing the order, the auto ship will be cancelled.
I ordered the free trial for $2.99 shipping and handling. It arrived in 3 days. I tried the product and it worked for me. I called Peak Life within the 18 day period and cancelled the auto ship and then bought it from CVS for $11.24 per month on their ship and save program.
If people are too lazy to read a contract, they deserve to pay the consequences.
I think you all should know that Somanpure sells for $12.39 for 36 tablets at Meijers….
Somnapure sells for $12.49 for 36 tablets at Meijer’s….
I did notice the fine print, called the day the sample arrived and had no problem canceling the automatic membership. They did ask for a reason and were fine when I said I wanted to try it first to see if it works!
I do find it helpful. I have a problem waking up after just a few hours of sleep and this has only occurred once when I have used Somnapure. I plan to keep buying it at Walmart or Walgreens.
This is the most disgusting product I have ever experienced. Opening the bottle made me gag. Trying to swallow the pill made me feel like I was going to vomit. Unfortunately I did not read the automatic sign up and found the bill on my credit card. I don’t remember email of auto shipment, will look for it.
I agree with all the negative comments on Peak Life. I emailed CVS, BBB and Ohio Atty Gen. Encourage all others to get the word out on a horrible company and product line.
I tried this last night and the effects were horrible. At first I felt like I had a few beers. Then my mind starting racing and I never got to sleep at all. It was horrible! I felt like I was on drugs. I would rather have insomnia than feel like I felt after taking this product!
I am furious with this company…This is nothing but a scam. They offer to refund you 60% of the charge…I called my bank to have a stop payment put on this charge, but get this…This company does not have it set up as a reaccuring and are manually running your card, so a stop payment can not be placed on it. My bank did inform me that a lot of companies that run scams like these do this to get around the system…I wll be turing them into the BBB
Somnapure may work but it’s very misleading. It’s like rebranding ibuprofen or codeine and saying it’s the latest greatest thing to cure headaches. They probably work but there is definitely nothing new about it! When you cut through all the marketing gumpf Somnapure is basically Melatonin which does work, normally quite well, although you need to be careful. I use 3mg pure melatonin pills (natrol)and break that pill into 4 pieces and I still feel quite zonked when I take even that small dose. Incredibly I’ve seen 5 and 10 mg tablets for sale! (10mg would be an elephant dose!) Also don’t take it (pure Melatonin) and jump into bed. Read a book or watch something relaxing on TV. When it kicks in then go to bed. You need a relaxer for stress related sleep problems. Chamomile is ok but I find a Sage and Thyme tea followed by a Melatonin knocks your socks off. If you have stress related sleep problems nothing else will work. Trust me. Sleeping tablets and tranqs are probably the worst things you can take. And they still don’t work! If you want natural Melatonin in tea form simply buy Dried Chinese skullcap (actually a beautiful flower) and make a tea with that. Skullcap has high levels of natural melatonin.
I join all the others….such a shame wish I had researched more before
buying. Mine went in the trash can..did not trust to pass them on for free.
OTHER PRODUCTS ARE BETTER–Z-QUIL–MELATONIN–COME TO MIND, BUT THE WAY IT’S SOLD WITH THE DISQUISED SUBSCROTION HOOKED ON IS A SCAM AND WHEN YOU CALL UP THEY TWIAT AND TURN TO GET YA AGAIN. Telemarketing scam with a really lousy over-priced product.
Amamzon sells the 60 count jar for $17.00
this is a big time scam….if u can block their e-mails or just delete asap
Telling people that you sleep better with green tea is like saying, for me, it helps my headache if I hit myself with a hammer on the head.
Green tea contains caffeine.
For the great majority of people, this will not help them fall asleep.
I do not understand why you put this up.
@Joe G I drank green tea before bed last night and slept like a baby! I’ve been doing it for years and I put it up because it works for me. I don’t recommend anyone hitting themselves over the head with a hammer to go to slept.
I use pills they work wonders.
I haven’t tried the product yet (a 30-ct. bottle is on its way) but for all of you who used a true credit card–don’t ever do this with a magazine subscription or a product like this. Simply use a temporary credit card or do what I did, use a gift card with only $25 on it or so. The next time they try to charge you, it won’t go through. This is just common sense. Sorry if you were not aware of how these things work.
Don’t work on the bottle it said it could take up to 90 days to 90 days to work
I am buying 3 bottles to see
I got a sample and did not read the fine print…I got a package today and billing…I returned the package before getting the return information…LOL What a racket!
I ordered the “free sample” and got charged $4.99. I could live with that since it was supposedly for shipping. It’s been a couple of weeks. I just saw two charges against my account. One for $4.99 and another for $29.99. I did not authorize this payment nor did I intend to be on your auto-ship program! I want to cancel the entire thing, including the free trial and reverse the charges.
Now I am on an extremely long hold waiting to talk to a Customer Service Rep. I am very dissatisfied with this misleading advertising!
Valeri DiCerbo
First off to u do need to read the fine print on everything. Then ya would’ve known. I personally love the product and I may not sleep all the way thru the nigjt but I sleep a very heavy 4 to 5 hours. This is coming from a narcoleptic who NEVER slept..in bed at night that is…to each his own…sorry for th ose whom it doesn’t work but I’m very happy with it.
No, this isn’t a scam. Unethical? Absolutely, but is common US-business practice. Everything is disclosed, but such that most will never see it. I am immigrant, thus: If you ever wonder why there is so much anti-amirican sentiments in the world, here is one example. Of course, one can find such practices elsewhere too, unfortunately increasingly so, but many “anti-american” are not anti-USA but expression that such practices, or behaviors, are not okay.
I asked my doctor what he thought about Somnapure and he adamantly advised me never to take any herbal sleep aid supplements. He said that the FDA does not regulate supplements and they can have negative reactions on one’s health. My doctor told me that if I really need something to induce somnia then I should take 50mg’s of Benedryl. Benedryl is a good, safe solution to occasional sleeplessness. None of this garbage snake oil holistic crapola hocuspocus.
I am about to finish my first and last 30 tablet bottle of somnapure….so glad I did not buy a larger size…..have used as directed and it has had no effect on my whatsoever…..in fact one night after taking 2 and being wide awake a couple of hours later I got up and took 2 more,,,,,this made me more awake than ever…finally gave up and got out of bed at 4 AM,,,this product has certainly been a disappointment
It seems that I fell for this as well….
I went ahead and paid the shipping costs to get the free sample, and today I see another charge for $34.98 on my account from these people. So I call them up and am told that the charge will not post on my account as it is only a pending charge.
FINGERS CROSSED because I REALLY cannot afford this stuff which is mildly effective at best!!
I just read the first few comments, and granted they where from 2010(it’s 2016 now) but GNC is selling this same sleep aid for 15.99 an it’s on sale right now for 11.87. I say this because somebody said it was cheaper at 55.00 a month to have it shipped from this online bate and hook company. And BTW ALWAYS read the fine print called “Summary of Offer Terms”
I signed up for the low cost trial. I didn’t think it worked well so called and cancelled but was talked into more samples. These didn’t work too well and am cancelling.
However, I was treated well, told exactly what to expect and, since I read everything, I would give the company good marks.
The ingreidiants are ones that should work for most people, but not all.
A few years ago I received free newsletters from Dr. Joseph Mercola. They listed several mental exercises to make falling asleep much easier. I still use them regularly. One method is to get your mind off of the stress of the day is to count backwards from 100 to zero. Then he had a tapping method where you tapped with 3 fingers 10 or 12 times starting in the middle of your forehead, then a little lower above the bridge of the nose, then 3 places around but a little bit away from your eye left eye, then just below your nose, on your chin, chest and lastly on each wrist. Repeat on the right side.
Another way is to say to your mind, “My left toes are relaxed & my left toes are relaxed.” “My left toes are relaxed & my left toes are relaxed.I do each step 5 times keeping track by holding down a different finger for each step. Then repeat for the right side. “My right toes are relaxed & my right toes are relaxed.” “My right toes are relaxed & my right toes are relaxed. Now do the same for you arch, your heal, ankle, foot, leg, knee, and your hip.
I’m nearly always asleep in 5 minutes. When you tell the different parts of the body that they are relaxed, then they believe you and fall asleep. I know that Dr Mercola has good ideas on many health topics. I can’t judge about his products because the FDA has been on his case a few times, but that is because big pharmacy can’t make profits on what he sell.
