Wavee.com Review Is It a Scam
A brief explanation about online penny auction websites is they work a little bit differently from traditional auction websites. In a traditional auction website only the winning bidder has to pa for the price of the item. Also in regular auction sites the items are typically not being delivered from the owner of the auction site instead they are typically owned by everyday people. That being said lets talk about Penny Auction websites. Penny Auction websites work differently its very similar to gambling because with penny auction websites you have to purchase NON REFUNDABLE credits.
Purchasing Wavee.com Credits
Once you’ve purchased these non refundable credits you have to bid now with a penny auction website every bid you make costs you a credit, remember that credits cost you money and credits are non refundable this is why you will hear many people comparing penny auctions websites to gambling.
As we know in an auction there can only be one winner that being said the bigger the penny auction site gets the more money it makes and the harder it becomes for people to actually win something. On side of this fact in the case of Wavee.com they make it clear that if you lose an auction you can still use the credits you lost with and apply it to the their actual price of the item.
As you can clearly see this is obviously how Wavve.com and other penny auction websites will make majority of their profits. Also the bigger Wavee.com gets the lower the chances for people to win something and the higher the amount of money Wavee.com makes.
Another thing i am noticing is complaints from people in the amount of $179. People are getting surprise charges on their credit cards in the amount of $179 this is what i am hear allot about. I can’t confirm this because i refuse to sign up for wavee.com but if this is the case i am advising the public to stay away. I write this posts mainly for education purposes i don’t lke people telling me what to do so i won’t tell you i just hope to educate you in to what you are getting yourself into.
Wavee.com a new model for Auction Websites?
Wavee.com and penny auction websites like it are definite new models business. I wouldn’t call it a scam but i personally would not get involved in it. The appeal is obvious we are currently in a recession and seeing the item you want for pennies would definitely make a person curious to try it out. When talking about online penny auctions its always been my fear that the game is rigged. either by a person or by the software. I am not in anyway accusing Wavee.com of doing this but it’s something i think about personally.
Another thing rarely discussed with penny auction websites like Wavee.com is how time consuming penny auction websites can be. If you ever get a chance listen to the stories of the average winners of penny auction sites. Many times these people spent entire days or weeks on the penny auction sites many times spending more money on buying credits losing than it took them to win. Most winners won’t tell their entire stories they will only tell you that they finally won. Again the bigger the penny auction website gets the more money the penny auction site makes.
If you want to sign up with Wavee.com don’t let me stop you just don’t say i didn’t warn you.
Please leave your comments or experiences with Wavee.com below it helps others
After I purchased my first two items with the “Bid-To-Buy” option, I was stunned to see the estimated shipping date of 3 months from the date of purchase. When I contacted customer service I confronted them about the statement in the “FAQ” section of their website which stated that “if you do not receive your shipment within 3 weeks, please contact customer support immediately”. That implies to me that delivery SHOULD be made within 3 weeks. Mysteriously, the reference to the 3 weeks was deleted from the “FAQ” section and replaced with “see order history for estimated shipping date”. What a joke!
For those having a hard time getting Wavee to refund monies,I filed complaint with FBI Internet Crime division and had my refund ( $858.98) in three days after waiting nearly three months.I did send wavee a copy and referance # of complaint.Good Luck-hope it helps-stay away from TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!
I also won a few items. I did actually receive one of them (after calling a few times), but now I’m waiting for an item about 3 months. Every time the estimated shipping date comes around, they just change it. I’m not getting anywhere with customer support.
Wavee is the biggest scam. I am still waiting for my purchase. It has been three months. Stay Away from this website.
Please lets sue this company … This is the email I sent them:

Legal Action Being Taken if no refund is issued, I have bought this same item elsewhere due to your company’s lack of competency. The same way you caused me this big frustration, and caused a financial loss to me, your policy about refunds has to be considered changeable at this time.
Dear person, I would like to give you my attorney’s info, she will be representing me if I can’t solve this problem in this attempt.

I know the policies say that money isn’t returnable (I spent $75.00 on wavee.com so far).
I have spoken with my attorney, and I faxed her a copy of the order date, and screen shots of all the “estimated shipping dates”,
The estimated shipping date changed 3 times already.
I hope you understand but, the time it is taking for me to receive my item, is not normal. I have been shopping online for over 7 years now, and I am a very respectful buyer and seller, but I do not allow companies to abuse me. I have my rights.
Money over the amount of $50 dollars is considered a felony. My attorney is going to fight for interest, and customer abuse.
Not only my $75.00 dollars is seating in your account, but I could have used that money to shop elsewhere. I do understand wavee.com is a auction (game) type of shop, but the time frame it is taking to get my merchandise isn’t reasonable at all.
Should you have any concerns, you may feel free to contact me at anytime.
It said estimated date feburary, then it jumped to march, now it jumped to the end of april ?..
This is unreasonable, and for situations like this, you have to understand and send a refund.
Or else, like I said, my attorney will make the contacts from now on.
They keep pushing the shipping date, it has moved 3 times already. Now I want interest on the money, not only a refund, interest as well. And also compensation for the customer abuse. My lawyer will take care of it.
I have talked to Valerie Hoff of Channel 11 news & she stated, she did a follow up story on these crooks, which of course Wavee doesn’t show. This company has an F rating with the BBB now. They scammed me too. Ms. Hoff is going to contact them on my behalf. I encourage you to contact her @ [email protected], if you have been SCAMMED by this company too. She is very nice. Don’t forget to file complaints against this guys. I started w/ the FTC, now on to the BBB. HELP STOP THESE CROOKS!!!

@ Thiago Let me know if I can be of any help to you.
I’ve been a Wavee’s customer for almost a year. Never really had any problems with them. I got most of my products within a month in the past. I know lately shipping was super slow, but the ones that I won in Dec, I got them after 3 months… I mean, they still did shipped them eventually.
But I wouldn’t call them scam… If they are a scam, I don’t think they would refund your money….
From my knowledge those real scams operated like only a week or 2 then shut down and take all the money.
I don’t think a scam would have customer service to answer your call, refund your money, or even interview with news stations… lol
Hi everybody. I signed up for an account over the weekend just to see how this whole penny auction system worked. I never saw any notice that I would be billed as other have reported, and was charged $79.00.
After at least a dozen requests for a refund I was told each time that the credits I paid for were non-refundable, no exceptions.
Left with no good options I decided to flood their support system and email accounts with requests for refunds. So I finally just got my refund after sending ~300 emails and support tickets to them. Give it a shot. It only took me a couple hours to send all those messages.
Here’s how to do it: go to http://wavee.zendesk.com/anonymous_requests/
new and fill out the form and hit the submit button. This will create a support ticket in their system that they will have to deal with, one at a time. Very annoying. Just keep sending them.
I then also sent about 300 refund request emails to the following addresses: [email protected], Wavee Sales , [email protected], [email protected].
You can do this quickly by sending a message. Then go to your sent items, find the message you just sent and hit “reply all”, and hit send. Repeat as much as you want.
It worked for me. It might work for you.
Good luck.
The price is pretty DARN obvious… don’t you read?
I think it’s because you lame people who causes these great penny auctions sites to go down. I’ve got some great deals from Wavee and other sites. I hope Wavee will not go down like Swoopo did.
Agree with jtsh88, the price is very OBVIOUS. Like right above the “BUY” button. You people gotta stop lying and stop blaming on these websites.
I signed up for an account and was charged $79.00. I frankly thought that I will be charged 1 dollar, like other sites I have been to (iTunes, and eBay). I went back and signed up for another account, just to see what I missed? when the payment screen appeared, it did not show the TOP of the screen and had to move the vertical scroll bar upward to see what am I buying! this time it was 80 credits for 40 dollars. Why was I sold 120 credits for 79 dollars the first time? this confirmed to me merchant bias. I talked with my credit card issuer. Once the charge appear on my statement, I will go a head and officially dispute the transaction.
Hope this would help someone.
I won multiple auctions then after waiting 2 months. I contacted the bbb for help. 1 week later they canceled all my pending orders and refunded me my credits ( not my money). So yes they are a SCAM! They did not send me the items i won. I dont have any need for a bunch of useless credits.
So I’ve been receiving my items that I won in since 2/3/2011. They shipped me all 9 items (camera, knifes, printer, flashlight, and others. They emailed me like 10 gift cards that I won. So those are good!
But funny is that I have not received 12 items that I won in Dec and Jan. I gave them a call today to check on the rest. They might have experienced some problems in their system back in Dec or Jan that caused delay or missing items.
But I’m happy that I’ve been receiving my stuff.
WAVEE.COM is a complete and total FRAUD!!!….THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE BEEN VICTIMIZED PLEASE CONTACT THE ATLANTA, GA POLICE DEPARTMENT….ALSO, THE LAST AND ONLY KNOWN ADDRESS FOR WAVEE SEEMS TO BE FRAUDULENT AS WELL. WAVEE 75 5TH STREET NW, SUITE 212, ATLANTA, GA, 30308…PLEASE DONT ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO CONTINUE VICTIMIZING INNOCENT PEOPLE. CALL AND REPORT THEM NOW!!!
Whoaa, I’m surprised. y Wavee only “scam” u not me?
They’ve been great to me!
seems the auctions on this site have bots driving up prices…i decided to leave the site, but before doing so, i used my bids…i used my remaining 47 bids on a $25 gift card..i didn’t care because i was leaving the site anyway…as i watched, another person had used about 50 bids before i used mine…and he also used about another 100 bids after i ran out…so this so-called person used at least 200 bids, and was still bidding…so he used $175 in bids, to buy a $25 gift card…if people want to compete with that, go right on ahead…good luck with that
they ripped me for $75 i used a card i have never activated yet they were allowed too charge it i am also going too post the name of the company that allowed this too avoid ever using them an the credit company that also allowed this is fraud
