In the real world of barter, there’s The Grasshopper and there’s the Ant. I’m not sure maybe in the future the Liberal media will attempt to change the narrative of the Aesop’s Fable titled The Ant and the Grasshopper, at least for now below is Youtube video of the famous fable.

Now, I can hear the readers saying well a lot of the Canadians that couldn’t handle a delay in pay actually have jobs. My reply is yes you’re right! However, Imagine the ants had Liberal or Left Leaning Political leaders who convinced them that the Grasshoppers should get a large chunk of the Ants labor for free, imagine the Ants agreed to allow the government take 50% of what saved for the winter so the Grasshoppers could enjoy what the Liberal or Left Leaning Political parties thought was a good standard of living? How long would it take before the Ants would be able to save less and less for not only the coming winter but the coming retirement?

How soon would it be before the Ant would be dependent on the government to survive? How soon before the Ants would start behaving like Grasshoppers? Suppose it came to the Ants attention that the Grasshopper was getting and being able to save the same amount of wealth as Ant without doing any work? Would the Ants behavior change? Would the Ant, for example, stop working overtime at his/her job? Would the Ant not start to see more value in the Grasshoppers qualities.

Let’s take things a step further and imagine that Ant stopped obeying the Queen Ants religious dogma and instead became more atheistic thus making Christian or religious morals subjective, thereby feeling no obligation to manage the Ant colony, what could happen to the Ant colony and the overall Ant civilization then? Prior to the creation of the welfare state, humans would have to plan for the futures in advance. However, since the creation of politics confidence men and women have been able to successfully sell people on getting something for nothing. Because so many humans believe in getting something for nothing interest and dividend payments have matched by the government in the form of welfare subsidies not only for the poor but also for the rich. Big corporations in Canada, like Canadian agriculture, for example, is a beneficiary of government subsidies, so there’s no need for these companies to change or approve upon their methods of doing business. There is little to any need for some of the most successful agricultural sectors to invest efficiently for the future, furthermore many of these agricultural businesses in Canada have become more scared to take risks because the government has provided these grasshoppers shelter from the winter season.

For the unworking poor in Canada or the Canadians living above their means, there is also no need for them to change their ways because whenever there’s are financial crisis the government can always go into its magic bag of tricks and print more money or create more food, sure this money printing dilutes the money supply which in turn causes prices to go out, but rotten food tastes better than no food at all.

So these people learn to adjust, now as these socialist grasshopper policies start to become the norm in society, the Ants start to migrate or they start to pool their resources to protect themselves from the obvious disasters they see coming, to combat this the Grasshopper politicians then try to frame the Ant has the bad party in all of this, using racist or derogatory terminology to define the ant in order to garner support from the people who are sympathetic to the Grasshopper philosophy.

Fables aside Canada is heading for a financial collapse and I keep telling people that it’s not what Canadians think it’s going to be. It’s going to be a gradual decline. I actually feel that the best thing that could happen in Canada is a crash because at the very least it would be a shock to Canadians which would hopefully re-educate them on the school of hard knocks. One day a spoiled child becomes an adult and don’t expect that as an adult that spoiled child is going to change if the actions of the spoiled child worked in childhood they’ll attempt to repeat those actions as adults. Be warned Canadians, the numbers don’t lie we are one financial crisis away from economic ruin.
