2019 marks the highest level of federal government spending in Canadian history, 94.7% of Canadians don’t watch CBC – January 15, 2019,
So, the current Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau doesn’t even bother to shave off his facial hair anymore, instead, the Feminist Prime Minister shows off the hair most women can’t grow on their faces. Typically when a responsible government spends there’s typically an end game of sorts, that the investment communities which allow Canadians to retire to visualize the financial end game. One of the reasons why I’m not a believer in a Gold Standard is that I don’t believe in money, I believe in market valuations, perceptions, consumer demand, I’m a believer in freedom in all of its forms and my Liberalism and Conservatism is imperial.
I personally believe deep down humans as a species know what we want for the era in which we live and without the government, as individuals we gravitate to what we know will ultimately serve us the best. Trudeau from my standpoint for many Eastern Canadians is a return to the Pierre Trudeau era, when Canada in the minds of Eastern Canadians was really, really cool. People would say with pride I am Canadian and the world would associate us with being the cool country, north of U.S empire.
Prior to the internet, economics could only be learned via the socialist education school system or via reading books at a library or even attending conferences which could be viewed as very boring if economics wasn’t a topic that interested you. But then something magical happened, the internet and when the internet happened, American think tanks which were often drowned into obscurity by the Leftist elites all of sudden had a voice again. The Barry Goldwater Republican Party, which by the way, Hilary Clinton is very familiar with, could now properly articulate their political arguments.
What this has done, which a lot of people have a hard time understanding is that it’s created a different type of investor. Now, under a fiat monetary system in case people aren’t paying attention, booms and bust get be created by collective think tanks, which can control monetary policy via government edict. What te socialists of this era, have a hard time understanding is that big government has evolved in the greediest entity in almost every country in the world. Obviously, Trudeau and people who view the world the way Trudeau sees it, can’t see the writing on the wall, but it’s becoming increasingly apparent, the type of correction, crash or collapse that Canada is going to experience and what is going to be very interesting is how Canadian politicians react when it happens.
Canada, under Trudeau, has made it’s position clear what will happen in the event of an economic downturn, we’ll have to print money if the U.S economy goes through any turmoil, this is going to be extremely painful for the Private Sector, the middle class and the poor people of Canada. The Public sector is so bloated in Canada and quite frankly it’s barely a discussion anymore if you’re not into economics or investing, you’re not going to understand the problem with a Provincial Liquor monopoly like the LCBO in Ontario, you’re not going to see the problem with an Auto Insurance monopoly like the ICBC in British Colombia, you’re not going to see the problem with a Canada Post, which even with its ownership of Purolator is no DHL by any means…
and you’re obviously not going to to see the relationship with the CMHC, Rental controls and inflating mortgage and rental prices not just in one province or one city but all over the country and finally, you’re most definitely not going to see the Public Sector involvement with the media monstrosity known to Canadian taxpayers as the CBC and how this is basically money just being burned at an alarming rate.
Now, here’s the thing, I have a TV and I rarely if ever watch the CBC, I rarely visit CBC.ca and I rarely find anything done by the CBC to have any value. I tend to not write about the CBC, because most vloggers on the Political Right make the CBC their focus, but the article below is eye-opening, and I have to remind readers that this is only one of the public sector disasters that exist in Canada.
Canada is a country similar to Mexico that should be rich by default. If tariffs were lifted at the U.S Canada border, Canadians cost of living would go down so fast that overnight Canadians would find themselves with a ton of money that they could save or invest, but you see there’s a fear of this happening, by Canadians politicians, because the reality is that a lot of these Crown Corporations which have government monopolies, would prevent Canadians from experiencing a lower cost of living anyway. Because I remind the reader, An estimated 35 per cent of Canada’s economy is protected from foreign competition.
An estimated 35 per cent of Canada’s economy is protected from foreign competition, via rules, government intervention and varying interprovincial requirements, according to a new study by Fraser Institute, a Vancouver-based think tank.Protected industries: Why more than a third of the Canadian economy is walled from competition | financialpost.com
What this ultimately means is that most Canadian would not know how to operate in a free market. We’re actually closer to Fascism than most Canadians even realize. Leading the way is, of course, the Province of Quebec, which is why immigration is a larger topic in Quebec than it is in the rest of Canada. But I say this because in the event the world experiences economic turmoil, it should be clear to anyone reading this what Canadians will expect the government to do.
People with the right knowledge and skill flourish in any economy with some semblance of a market, however to the people who believe that Trudeau his new beard and quite possibly his successor is smarter and powerful enough to control the market during a period of economic changes, well, try to remember that if you want to preserve our big government you’re going to have to pay for it, even when times are tough!
