34,000 Albertans jobless for six months or longer, NDP helped to Destroy Ontario in the 1990s – May 11, 2019,
The CBC for obvious funding-related reasons is worried about the Canadian voting publics growing desire to defund the CBC, is going to be going on an assault of any and everything associated with the Politially Right. Already there’s an article titled 34,000 Albertans jobless for six months or longer – CBC in which the writer Reid Southwick makes little mention of Rachel Notley’s effects on the Albertan economy. She fundamentally tried to turn Alberta into a State Run hell hole. But obviously, the article is being written to set the mood for what the CBC has in store for the future.
When a Leftist Politician is in power, they should have all the time they need and they should get as much positive press as possible, but the moment a Politically Right-leaning candidate is sworn or is about to be sworn in, the MSM in Canada goes on an immediate attack mood. The reason Notley was removed was that Albertans saw a decrease in their standard of living while she was Premier. In Ontario, we all remember Bob Rae and his New Democratic Party, because they’re intervening socialists they tend to want to punish the hardworking and productive and reward the non-hardworking unproductive in which the CBC qualifies.
Now, in the minds of most people in the Political Left, they wealth as infinite and they believe that their interjections into the free market will have no bearing on our quality of life nor do they believe that the government has anything to do with the shrinking Private Sector which in reality pays the bills of the Public Sector. Leftists tend to put little emphasis on Freedom and Freemarkets and Private Property and they instead focus on what they believe is Social Justice as well as a few politicians having the ability to micromanage every aspect of people’s lives. In a leftists mind, socialism is nothing more than making things run more efficiently because a few smart people can be the deciders of economic and social outcomes. This type of thinking is pervasive in Canadian politics and Canadians should be warned about it.
I’ll be voting for the People’s Party of Canada because these Leftists myths need to be debunked and the Conservative Party of Canada is basically going to take the Stephen Harper approach which is not to rock the boat, slow gradual change, which for me is what allowed Justin Trudeau to become Prime Minister, Why have Liberal light with Stephen Harper when we can have the full-blown Liberal experience with Justin Trudeau? That’s what got Trudeau elected and it’s time we start educating voters about the negatives of big government. It doesn’t bother me if people in Canada vote Left, what bothers me are people unable to see the Pros and the Cons to big government policies.
If you want supply management and equalization payments, fine, but at the very least Canadian voters should understand how these schemes work. Do Canadians want the CBC, CMHC and Canada Post to be funded by Canadian taxpayers? If the answer is yes, well at the very least Canadians should understand that these Crown Corporations won’t have any competition which means that we’ll pay more for their existence. Already the CBC is in attack mode and I hope people are smart enough to see that Canadian taxpayers are paying for their existence.
Interesting times ahead.
