What’s happening all across Canada is socialism isn’t working anymore, I’m not the type of person to say that I socialism and protectionism is a complete disaster. The times where I can understand people opting for socialism is periods right after war. If you’re country is going through domestic wars or if you’re country has just completed a war, I can understand how people could fall for the socialism trap. After wars, people namely women want to feel a sense of security and if a leader, a Rachel Notley type reached out to the people and said I know you’re all hurting, after the great war and I your socialist leader will make a decree that the rich amongst you must give up large chunks of your wealth to pay for those of us who are sick and in need of medical care. I disagree with that but I could understand how people could fall for that.

Unfortunately we’re no longer in that period, we’re in a period that has shown that larger government has no purpose in Canada, big government is actually hurting Canada, but again I have to remind Canadians that the reason Alberta opted for the NDP is because the Conservatives we not being honest with Albertans when times were good. when times were good in Alberta what, Alberta should have done is grown their oil retail sector, instead no they dug the oil out of the ground and shipped that oil out of the country as soon as they could. The position this put Alberta in is their subject to market fluctuations. If let’s say I could buy motor oil made in Alberta, dishwashing liquid made in Alberta, well when the oil market crashed it wouldn’t be as a big a deal as it is now.

Also what you also wind up getting when you dig oil out of the ground and ship it out of the country is ignorance, a lot of Albertans have become ignorant to what the real problem is. Accept it Alberta, like it or not some people don’t like dirty oil. In a real capitalist environment you find a way, Americans have found many ways to turn profit with oil and they have less oil than Alberta has, the difference being Americans are more entrepreneurial. Until Albertans accept the fact that their system is flawed they’re always going to have these disasters.

Being that the Conservative governments seem too scared to tell Albertans the truth, I don’t see much changing regardless of who takes the office. I don’t see conservatives firing too many useless highly paid government employees. Based on the history of the conservatives in Canada it seems to me that they just do a better job managing disasters created by socialist, marxist thinkers in Canada. Until this changes this will be an ongoing problem in Alberta and all this craziness is leaning Canada closer and closer to an economic collapse and America is still an option for the high intelligent white upper class of Alberta and if they leave and if they’re replaced with people who view the world differently, well watch out Canada.
