Profits and perils of the new Canadian pot economy: Don Pittis – June 25, 2018

One of the better contributors to the CBC is Don Pittis. what separates Don Pittis from other writers is that he’ll give you more than one economic perspective. I tend to lean more to right politically, but I do believe that the Left-leaning thinkers have a right to have a voice. I personally wouldn’t want to live in a world where everybody thinks like me. This is where writers like Don Pittis add value to political debates. To read Profits and perils of the new Canadian pot economy by Don Pittis you click the link below:

Regarding the legalization of Pot, in my opinion, it’s one of the smarter things done by Trudeau’s Liberals. This should provide an economic stimulus and well, let’s be honest it changes the global perception about Canada. Being that the implementation of Marijuana laws will be left to provinces, Trudeau also wiped his hands clean of any potential problems that will inevitably arise because of this change.

As far as the economy goes, the problem with legalization of drugs is simple, IQ levels go down. If you listen to most Alcoholics most of them know just enough to survive, most drug addicts are the same. The ambitions of drug abusers tend to revolve around personal satisfaction, another trait with drug abusers tends to revolve around blaming external forces for internal problems. Lastly, drug abusers tend to vote left, the problem for those of us on the Right politically is that when given the choice people don’t like to have their beliefs challenged.

I don’t like to have my beliefs challenged but it doesn’t mean I won’t listen, the problem with leftists is that once they feel that they’re right and morally justified they feel it’s okay to enact violence on people who don’t agree with them. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me, those of us on the Right politically understand this and believe this to be true, majority of the people on the left, however, don’t believe this, they believe words do hurt and want to control and dictate what you say, how you say it and even how you frame your arguments.

The reason for political correctness comes from the left and they were able to justify this because many of us on the Right aren’t too fond of vulgar language. So, because of this those of us on the right have a much more challenging time formulating arguments to rebut leftist ideologies. One of the reasons Donald Trump angers Leftists is because he uses their tactics against them. How this relates to the pot economy in Canada, Canadians going forward may be more susceptible to leftism. Lower National IQ’s doesn’t favor those of us who value freedom. In Don Pettis’s post he says the following:

Will younger people still be interested after Grandma and Grandpa are using if for bowel complaints? Will pot become a popular mainstream pastime or develop a bad reputation? Will hopes for exports and new products such as edibles, creams and pharmaceuticals materialize?

Well, my hope is that this is what will happen as the taboo is removed from Marijuana, I know a lot of youngsters that won’t purchase specific alcoholic beverages their elders drink. Also, I’ve seen younger generations completely reject drugs because of how stupid their parents were. In my personal view, I think Millenials, when it’s all said and done, might be the laughing stock generation. I’m not saying there won’t be smart millennials because there are, what I mean is that Generation Z (Those born after 1990) which are people who grew up with a fully developed internet might actually be so much smarter than millennials as adults that they may look at millennials as a combination of relics of the past and/or entitled morons.

Based on my research the smart millennials that have and raised Generation Z children have in many ways overly prepared them for the real world, not only have they done this but these Generation Z teens and adults are also able to turn to the internet to listen to Liberal and Conservative schools of thought.

What this equates to is a mentality that a millennial would have had to spend hours in a Library to comprehend, the Generation Z adult will know instinctively. What this means and it’s already happened in many ways is that smart Generation Z adults will have a third eye Millenials won’t be privy too.

As this becomes the norm, the world will change so quickly that people still using the old ways of thinking will be viewed as a nuisance. Marijuana in the future might be viewed the way it should be, just another plant on gods green earth. Once the taboo debate is removed, similar to alcohol what happens next will be the studies of economic effects of Marijuana consumption. Personally, I know the results already, but what should interest you is what will happen when the next generations are able to see the statistical results for themselves.

If for example, you look at Alcoholic consumption in Canada, it may surprise where Canada and the U.S rank. Something else that Canadians may want to think about is that Donald Trump with all his faults doesn’t consume Alchohol while Justin Trudeau does consume Alchohol. Most leftist assume Trumps an idiot and have often wished physical harm on him. Many of the people asking for violence consume drugs, something to think about Canada.
