What happens if we don’t ship oil by the Trans Mountain Pipeline? – September 13, 2018,

Interesting video about the Trans Mountain Pipeline you can see below:

Although inadequate delivery methods for Canada’s oil appears to be the problem, the truth is Canada is awash with natural resources that are not being manufactured correctly. The Albertan oil method currently works like this Canadian labor takes oil out of the ground and tries their best to ship it out of the country as soon as possible to the highest bidder. This is why the Albertan economy is so susceptible to market crashes.

Canadian Labor costs more than Saudi Labor which is why as an example in the United States a lot of small business entrepreneurs use the oil that’s made in America and turn that oil into retail products. In Canada, most of our oil is sold right back to us as a finished product from foreign companies. Which again fuels our higher cost of living. There’s a culture that’s been created in Canada that says that we need big companies to do all the refining for us. Or we need the government to allows us to build pipelines.

If the culture in Alberta were different Pipelines would have been built faster and without problems. The issue with Alberta is their lack of entrepreneurs. Alberta as a province should be 10 times richer than it is right now, but, their reliance on exterior entities to do what they can do on their own is why they’ll never achieve what socialist Norway has achieved.

A few things I’ll mention about keeping the cost of living down, rule number one No legal minimum wages. Alberta’s current minimum wage is $13.60 CAD per hour which means that a person working in the Oil patch will demand a lot more money. Adding to this problem is Alberta’s reliance on foreign companies to extract the oil for them. This is one of the reasons why the Leftist and green peace groups are able to have their voices heard.

If building a pipeline in Canada was 100% Canadian no provinces would have a problem with it, because Canadians would be providing the capital. But for the most part, these pipelines are being built for the benefit of foreign companies which in turn leaves the Canadian workers in the same vulnerable position they’re in now. Environment aside, one thing I will guarantee you is if a pipeline is built wages and the costs to extract oil from Alberta’s oil sands will go up.

Automation is already taking a lot of oil-related jobs away from Albertans and the moment the pipeline gets built it will only get worse because the only reason why foreign companies haven’t implemented their automation methods yet is that of the political climate in Canada. Because of Alberta’s oil economy, the people aren’t going to be the beneficiaries of a lower cost to deliver oil.

I’m pro-energy independence for Canada, however, there has to be a change in the mentality of Canadians. We need more entrepreneurs, we need to get rid of this culture that allows us to get exploited by foreigners, we need to get back to manufacturing and building things locally. We need to end corporate welfare and challenge socialist policies. If we don’t we’ll continue to raise generations of Canadians that will be dependent on foreigners to hire and train them.

Interesting times ahead
