Is Quebec’s New Premier François Legault bad For Justin Trudeau’s Social Justice Liberals? – October 3, 2018
Socialism is widespread in Quebec, to the point that when I heard some of François Legault’s positions it was hard for me to distinguish whether he was Left-Leaning or right Leaning Politically. I give former Prime Minister Stephen Harper a lot of credit for taking a gradual approach to change. Because the truth is a lot of Canadians don’t understand the free market and it would be a shock to their system if they got a true dose of it. As a country like many other rich nations, we’re a very laid back people.
The problem is this laid-back attitude isn’t that old, it began in Canada after Pierre Trudeau’s socialist policies started to kick in. One of the problems with socialism and state control of a vast majority of industries is that the people eventually get complacent and entitled. It’s usually at this point that Justin Trudeau usually appears, I like to remind Canadians that when Justin Trudeau became the Liberal party leader a lot of money started to flow into Trudeau’s charities, into the Liberal party of Canada from sources that well I’ll let you research that stuff on your own.
Bottom line and I like to remind people that Justin Trudeau is the worst economic Prime Minister of all time, even worse than his father. Pierre Trudeau’s policies had to be cleaned up by Jean Chretien and Paul Martin’s Liberals and one of the reasons NAFTA became what it was, had a lot to with Paul Martin’s genius about economics. Paul Martin and Jean Chretien did a lot to protect Pierre Trudeau’s socialism. As many Canadians remember, Brian Mulroney a conservative didn’t have the cojones, to get rid of Pierre Trudeau’s disastrous policies, instead, On January 1, 1991, then-Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and his finance minister Michael Wilson introduced Canadians to Goods and services taxes.
Now, as everyone knows, I’m not against Tariffs, I prefer tariffs over income taxes, but as many Canadians know the manufacturers’ sales tax or MST which used to be 13.5% had been in existence since 1924. Now, to understand MST is to understand why Canada has trouble attracting entrepreneurs and also why central being is so accepted here. It’s important that Canadians understand that even though Canadians pay Provincial sales tax and Federal Sales tax, businesses still pay MST (manufacturers’ sales tax) in a variety of forms. Of course, large corporations in Canada get exceptions or benefits like Supply Management, but this is part of the culture in Canada, it’s why Quebec as an example is able to exist.
The truth is if Quebec were to leave Canada, it would be a stimulus for the Canadian economy. If as an example Quebec had to negotiate their own trade deal with the United States or Canada for that matter, they’d actually realize how destructive a lot of the socialist policies are. One of the reasons as much as I like Maxime Bernier and the People’s Party of Canada, I’m not 100% sold. Because the truth is Maxime Bernier is a politician and he’s stated on more than one occasion that he’d welcome in socialists and people from the NDP.
This is the reason in my opinion why the Progressive Conservatives are where they are today. The Conservative party of Canada under Stephen Harper welcomed in the people who were tired of Liberal Corporatism and asked them to embrace Progressive Conservativist protectionism. Which is why you’ll hear Ontario Premier Doug Ford praise Canada’s supply management system.
Socialism, Globalism Corporatism is engraved into Canadian DNA. Many of us don’t even realize it when you read or hear about the CBC which is a Crown Corporation of Canada doing hit pieces on Libertarians or true Conservatives or Classical Liberals, it’ important to know that many of the authors on CBC went to school learning this Globalist propaganda. If you spent 24 years of your life in school learning something only for someone to teach you something different, how would you react? wouldn’t you attack the entity that’s threatening your way of life, threatening your job, your livelihood? When I say that Justin Trudeau is a manifestation of what a large portion of Canada has become I’m not lying.
doesn’t Justin Trudeau, Bill Morneau, and Chrystia Freeland make you cringe? Sure many of my readers didn’t vote them in, but we’re responsible for these types of people are able to rise to power. Because Canadians have gotten so used to being overly taxed, a lot of us can’t even point to the problem. I keep telling Canadians, our dollar should be higher the U.S Greenback, by right we should be the richest nation on planet earth, up until Justin Trudeau started to allow anyone into Canada we were slowly becoming the beacon of Multiculturism. I’ve said this several times, we had a great immigration system, our merit-based immigration system was fantastic. I always give credit where credit is due even if I disagree with the political beliefs of the creations.
Now, what we have with Justin Trudeau is a man, not as smart as his father who wants to have the same or a larger impact on Canada than his father did. I’m sorry Canada, you don’t need me to tell you that Justin Trudeau is not a smart man. I’m all for women and minority rights, but Trudeau’s cabinet is a mockery of Canada. Just because a human has different gender or skin complexion shouldn’t grant them higher positions in your political cabinet. That’s a move a weak person would make, when I meet a person in politics in Canada I expect them to be smart, I don’t care what they look like. What Justin did was he said nope, looking the part is enough to make it to the top ranks in my cabinet, and we as Canadians are paying for this.
The New Premier of Quebec François Legault is a sign that changes appear to be happening in Canada, I’m just not sure if Canada is ready to get to the root causes of many of our cultural problem in our country.
Interesting times ahead.
