Thousands of Montrealers rally against proposals of incoming CAQ government – October 8, 2018,

As many people know by now, socialism or if you want to call it collectivism has limits. You see the problem with collectivists ideas and ideals is perception. Socialism often leads to a decay in the core of society, with or without immigration. In Russia, their government has taking immigrants marching them through the streets, throwing them in jail and deporting them the first chance they get.

In countries like Japan and China, Immigration is a topic their government takes very seriously. In China, if you’re not Chinese you have to take a backseat to Chinese citizens. Japan even with their aging problem takes in a minimal amount of immigrants each year. But in Canada, things are different, in Canada we’re welcoming to immigrants. One can argue that the reason for this is that Aboriginal population at one point was welcoming to the European settlers, whatever the reason Canada’s stance on immigration has been rather simple if you can help our society and economy grow you’re welcome to come here and live.

So why now, the hostility towards immigrants and why is the hostility targeted towards what appears to be Muslim migrants? The first thing we have to make note off is that hostility to migrants is nothing new, there are still First Nation Canadians who are hostile to Western Europeans and the reason for this is simple. People hate change, people hate having to change their way of life to suit another culture.

The western European culture so far has proven to be the culture that every other people want to gravitate too, however, Quebecers weren’t this hostile when East Asians started to migrate to Canada in abundance nor were they hostile towards, West Africans, Shieks, Hindu’s or even west Indians. Western Europeans of old of course were hostile to other Europeans at one point but why then is there a hostility towards Muslims, and not just Muslims it appears this hostility is more towards a certain type of Muslim. Persian or Iranian Muslims have been living in Toronto for example for as long as I can remember, but the issue seems to stem from Pakistani Muslims, Afghan Muslims and Somali Muslims that have been known to want to change society.

Canada is still very close with the United Kingdom and France it’s important that people understand this. There is a particular group of Muslims who are aggressively trying to rewrite our Freedoms. Now, if you know anything about some cultures it’s not that all the people from a region want to institute change, but there’s enough of them that they become a noticeable problem. Paris is no longer the Paris of old and London England is no longer the London of old. What’s happened in Quebec is that they’re trying to nip a potential problem in the bud and if I were them I’d do it too because Quebec has a lot of welfare programs.

Quebec is Canada’s unfriendliest business province, but in case people don’t know one of the topics I often write about is minimum wages. If you’re running a family owned business, you can automatically disqualify yourself from certain regulations, such as minimum wages.

If you’re on the other end where you don’t work and you have a lot of children you also become the beneficiary of a lot of government subsidies. On another front most religions are not taxed, so with those three instances, a migrant group can undermine your social programs.

It’s the little things that socialist or collectivists think are insignificant that wind up biting them in the ass. The moment governments regulate freedom in the economy it creates problems that in time would have fixed themselves. Because Quebec is so heavily regulated to I guess solve what was a poverty problem? they created loopholes that are now putting them in a position that if they don’t combat this problem soon their economy will be destroyed. Supply management is just one of the ways the Quebec economy stays afloat. People forget that Quebec has been socialist for a very long time, it’s basically embedded in their culture.

If as an example Quebec were to leave Canada, their economy wouldn’t last a year. They’d have an impossible time getting trade deals, their social safety net would have to be renegotiated and they’d have to create their own separate trade deals with America, which based on their socialist agenda would be extremely problematic. As many Canadians have been saying for years if Quebec wasn’t a province of Canada the Canadian economy would probably get an immediate stimulus. That aside Montrealers who think they’ll be affected by the new policies are peacefully making their voices heard.

I just don’t think they understand the problem. In many parts of Europe what people coming to realize is that the Migrants aren’t coming to their countries to do the jobs the local population doesn’t want to do, instead, the economic migrants are coming for the welfare. A similar situation is happening all over Canada, migrants are looking to Canada for the welfare, there are videos in Canada for example where economic migrants are getting free shelter in hotels paid for by the Canadian taxpayers. I’ve read stories about economic migrants in Quebec demanding free daycare so they can go to work.

Now, in a free market economy, this would never happen because daycare paid for by the government wouldn’t exist.
Because the Quebec government worked so hard to make things “fair” for everybody they’ve inadvertently created a disaster that will only get worse with time. It’s hard for people to understand that when your country doesn’t have welfare it won’t attract people who will leech off the system. People will migrate back to where they came from when they’re faced with the reality. If Government shields migrants from the reality they’ll attract the wrong migrants. That’s what happened in London, France and other parts of Europe, they attracted migrants with the allure of free stuff, so the migrants came.

People don’t migrate to Russia as much because the Russian government isn’t incentivizing people to migrate there. In Quebec, even during their debate they candidates all had ideas on how to attract more immigrants to Quebec that would actually want to live there. Because as everybody knows, most of the productive people that migrate to Quebec get the hell out of there the first chance they get. Mainly because of Quebec’s redistributionist economic model, of course, the government doesn’t want to confront this, so instead, they blame the leeches that they attracted.

Productive people need a sense of freedom in order to be productive. As an example, as a small business person living in Ontario, I’m already thinking about how much money I’m going to have to pay back the government for being productive. The money I pay the government for being productive will be given to individuals and entities the government deems worthy of my productivity. Quebec has the most extreme approach to government redistribution in Canada and it’s why productive people tend to avoid Quebec like the plague. Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with a peaceful protest against Quebecers who want to preserve their culture and socialist causes but in life, I need to remind Quebecers and Canadians that when it comes to economics there aren’t winners and losers there are only trade-offs. Money is nothing more than a convenient form of exchange, beneath it all is bartering.

The art to bartering is focusing on one’s needs, bartering is also a measurement of a persons economic IQ. When a people pass daycare costs over to a government, the government may look at a surplus of tax dollars as a negative thing and try to get rid of those daycare dollars as soon as possible, because how do you explain to taxpayers that their tax dollars are sitting in a government office? This is why Leftist governments prefer running deficits, it gives them a reason for existence, if Leftist ran a balanced budget or had a surplus, wouldn’t the people eventually ask the question why is government holding onto my money? Of course, they will, however, taxpayers can’t ask for money that the government doesn’t have. which is why Leftist politicians namely the politicians in Quebec spend so much money on the poor. I should point out that the “poor” by government standards could also be corporations deeply in debt.

Bottom line here, Quebecers have created a very interesting problem for themselves. This problem isn’t unique to Quebec but they’re the first province in Canada to try to combat it. the problem, of course, is that they don’t have the moral high ground, because socialism is a redistribution of income. So I will be watching intently to say how this situation plays itself out.
