Doug Ford Is Wrong: The Minimum Wage Hike Hasn’t Killed Businesses
To understand the minimum wage is to understand why Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland don’t have a minimum wage. A minimum wage in the real world is a job killer, it’s also a racist law that came into being because of the racist democratic party in the United States. The top 5 countries with the highest wages in the world are the following:
Switzerland, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark and the United States.
Is it a coincidence that three of the top wage countries don’t have a minimum wage? and the other 2 are either tax havens for the rich or an economic powerhouse like the United States?
Anyone that’s been to Switzerland, Norway, and Denmark know that you’ll find a lot of small mom and pop shops in those countries, Why? Because there are no minimum wages!
When the Negro slaves were released from bondage in the United States, they began to look for jobs, for obvious reasons the former slave owners and other businesses in the south began hiring more blacks people than white people because it was cheaper. White Supremacists of the racist American south didn’t like the idea of having to compete with Negroes so they fought to create minimum wages laws. Not only did white supremacists create minimum wages they also went on to create Jim Crow laws which is nothing more than protectionism from an economic standpoint.
Similar actions happened in South Africa when the black Africans started to take jobs away from white South Africans, to solve this black problem the white South Africans created a minimum wage. Now what a minimum wage is, is it’s an aesthetic law that makes hiring more expensive. It’s in an employer’s best interests to pay their employees more especially in the digital age. If it costs more to train an employee as an employer you’ll be more selective. Now, in the ears of a leftist this sounds like greed, but in the real world this is called efficiency, because part of running business is the ability to raise capital, if an employer is being squeezed by its employees, this employer will have to pay more or give up more to raise capital, which ultimately puts their business at risk to a competitor who can do the same exact job for less.
The correlation between minimum wages and fascism
Now, if you understand fascism, you’ll understand it’s correlation with minimum wages. There are two groups of people that as a group has faced a lot of prejudice the Chinese and Jews, a lot of people are confused about why? The hated for these people comes from their understanding of the market. In many parts of Europe Jewish behavior were regulated, if you’re wondering the reason why? It’s because they understand the free market, what does understanding the mean? It means looking into the future, it means having others being reliant on you in the future which means that in the future you’ll be in a position of power.
When Jews and the Chinese leave your country, there’s a good chance your standard of living in your country will decline. The Chinese are the most industrious in the eastern regions of China, notice that I didn’t say these were the best people in Asia, I said they’re the most industrious, Chinese people are still individuals however their culture is one that rewards industriousness. The same is true of Jewish culture, virtue signaling is not something that interests the Chinese or the Jews, nor do they have a deep-rooted desire to unite the world. They’re more focused on, making it to the top of their own cultures.
Now, for cultural or racial supremacists the Chinese and Jews are a problematic people because they don’t care the job, they’ll do it and they’ll do it well and in time they’ll make you dependent on them. If you’re wondering why this is, it’s bartering and economics shifts a peoples mind away from war and arguments that have no reward. There are people that want to dominate or take the lead right now, there are people that will create aesthetic laws in hopes they can be an instrument of change. In bartering, the individual is only important if they seek to control or monopolize everything.
If you hope to monopolize or regulate the moves of others or be the complaining, winy parent of the economy people who understand that in business there are only trade-offs will find more interesting ways to do things. So, what made National socialism or Facisim take off is that a big government concept of protecting certain groups of people appealed to the persons who were struggling because other people or groups of people were willing to do jobs they weren’t willing to do and for less money.
So what fascism did was it created a protection or socialism for one group of people and a market scenario for the people who didn’t have the force or might to protect themselves. So under fascism similar to minimum wages particular groups of people were given limits or restrictive laws that superior fascist social classes of that society didn’t have to adhere too. So when you create minimum wages what you’re doing is saying small and middle-class businesses that can’t pay workers a wage set by the government have no rights to exist or to grow. Basically, that’s what’s happening in most parts of Ontario and Canada.
Why Minimum wages destroy a society – Why uneducated entry level Employees are so important to a society
Minimum wages cause certain jobs not to exist if you’re in Canada and you’re noticing that there aren’t many consumer goods that are made in Canada anymore, the reason for this is because it’s cheaper for a business to start a company in another country. Canada is in a global marketplace, and our population isn’t that large, plus we have a labor skilled shortage because we’ve created an economy where it’s taking students longer to enter into the workforce, furthermore because of the union and regulation laws that surround business in Canada it’s not in a companies best interests to train an employee.
When wages are high, training costs for employees are high, which ultimately results in even large companies thinking twice before starting a business in Canada. If the cost to pay a janitor is similar to the cost to pay a car mechanic in another country the employer might simply look at the numbers and the risk and pass. Now, in countries where there aren’t any minimum wages, there exist a lot more opportunities for the entry-level employees to move up in the company without going to school.
In the 1980’s and 1990’s, it was quite common to hear stories of uneducated employees becoming president and/or CEO of a huge corporation. The reason this is because when entry-level positions don’t have minimum wages, it allows an employer to hire more people based on market pay. Socialist will often call this exploitation when the truth is that it’s a great way for unskilled employees to learn skills.
This also gives the employer the chance to see which participant is worth hiring, also in the past it’s wasn’t uncommon for employers to offer stock and other options into the company which would, in reality, pay more than the wages would. These incentives of course for most employers have disappeared primarily because minimum wages are so high. Also, because fewer people in Canada are being exposed to the job market at a young age they’re becoming less educated about how the business world really functions.
A lot of young Canadians will never learn how to barter for more wages because the government and the unions did the bartering for them. You might think the government and the union bartering for you is a good thing, but it’s really not, because as a collective you give up your individual rights, also when people look at businesses as these huge immovable entities they’ll treat them the way they treat politicians. Once a business in Canada disappears it does not mean that one will replace them. When a business or an industry leaves Canada it’s often gone for good because if a big company closes it’s doors in a country, it’s competitors will wonder why and do more research into why that store closed.
Zellers has been closed for years, without a replacement, Target came to Canada and couldn’t survive, a lot of the reasons why Target was not successful in Canada is because they assumed that the Canadian consumer wasn’t frugal. If an outside entity looks at the economic fundamentals of the Canadian economy the assumption would be that Canadians support big businesses no matter what they charge. But this is simply not true, Canada is the main contributor to growing other countries like China, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam etc.
When Target approached the Canadian market their assumption was the normal assumption when people look at the Canadian economy, they thought we were morons, our economic policies show a low economic IQ. Why Canada is able to get away with having a low economic IQ as a country is because America is our largest trading partner. Supply management has failed everywhere except for Canada, it’s survived in Canada because America fills the void, the fact that Canadians pay so much in taxes, while having high minimum wages a generous welfare system and an extremely high cost of living that doesn’t revolve around volunteerism is a sign that Canada is a corporatist nation, that basically will accept whatever it’s government says as law.
What’s happening in Canada now is a skilled labour shortage, there are a lot of vacant high paying job vacancies, the reason for this is that unless a Canadian goes to school for these jobs these vacancies won’t and can’t be filled, it’s important again to realize that regulations play a vital role in a countries economy. I’ve been saying this for years, the Canadian economy is overly regulated and the problem with overly regulated economies is what happens when it crashes, what happens if your mortgage is higher than your house will sell for?
What happens when employees have to go to school to do skilled trades that used to require nothing more than a high school diploma? What happens when an entire generation goes to school believing that they have to go to college before finding a job? What happens when a person’s first job occurs when they’re 26+ years of age or later?
What happens when students spend 4+ years in college studying a course that’s not in demand? what happens when new technology makes a college course obsolete? it leads to a labor skill shortage, that’s what happens and it’s only going to get worse when the government artificially raises the barrier to entry for aesthetic purposes society eventually reaches a point where only a select few can pass the government mandated exam.
Once this happens your labor pool shrinks, don’t forget that a lot of the people that graduate college for something wind up taking a different career path when they go into the job market. This minimum wage problem has just begun and quite frankly I’m finding myself not caring anymore because Canadians aren’t paying attention and the cracks are already starting to show. Once this collapse happens, people don’t understand it will take years to fix and what’s worse will be the people who will fight to keep these aesthetic regulations in place.
I see and listen to people all the time who don’t think that government mandated aesthetic regulations aren’t the problem, well if these issues aren’t solved soon this Canadian economic collapse will last a lot longer. You’ve been warned Canada, prepare yourselves accordingly.
Interesting times ahead.
