HostGator Now Hosts RichInWriters.com
After giving it some serious thought i’ve decided to move richinwriters.com over to Hostgator hosting. I was previously using TMD Hosting and generally my experience with TMD Hosting was not that bad. They where very helpful and like i’ve written before TMD Hosting was the only company that helped me when i started my WordPress.mu blog. They installed my wordpress.mu blog and also helped with fixing bugs in the wordpress.mu script. I also had issues with wordpress.mu that were created by me and TMD hosting helped me fix these problems for free.
Now my issue with TMD Hosting came when richinwriters.com started receiving a high volume of traffic in the month November 2010 apparently the shared hosting plan my account was under was unable to handle the high traffic load. Now personally from my experience the amount of traffic richinwriters.com was receiving was not enough to cause downtime but from what TMD told me it was enough to cause downtime. That being said i decided to leave. None the less if you are thinking about starting a wordpress.mu blog i highly recommend TMD Hosting they’re very helpful.
Why I chose Hostgator.com
When it comes to choosing a hosting company there is only one thing i demand and that’s uptime. If my website has downtime it better come from an act of God, that being said i have NEVER had any issues with Hostgator. I have been using hosting hostgator going on 3 years now and I’ve had no issues. The only issue i’ve had with host gator was setting up my wordpress.mu blog. that was the main reason why i signed up for TMD Hosting because TMD hosting was very supportive of mu wordpress.mu blog.
There’s a few things i will say about Hostgator that i don’t like and that’s there technical support. Some of the host gator technical support workers are excellent and some of them are not. As the saying goes good help is hard to find, hostgator was initial reason why i started hiring people to do tasks for me because hostgator at one time did give me the run around. That being said in terms of 99% uptime guarantee i have come to trust HostGator and that’s why RichInwriters.com is now hosted with Host gator.
