Journalists barred from Morneau speech in Beijing a day after Trudeau praises free press
To understand globalism is to understand that there are people who believe that who believe that everybody is the same, with the same dreams ideals and aspirations. Furthermore, it’s important to realize that most Leftist, Liberals, in general, put little emphasis on economics and greater emphasis on what they believe to be the social impact on their decisions. It came as a huge surprise to me that a vast majority of Canadian steel was made by foreign entities on Canadian soil with the intention to sell into the U.S market.
It’s also come to my attention I write about this frequently that Canada is quickly turning into a service sector economy as more and more manufacturing companies in Canada leave. Canada also rid itself of its Gold reserves and the concept of the Canadian Loonie ever appreciating in value is becoming less and less likely as Leftism seems to have sunk its claws into the Canadian voters’ psyche.
In my opinion, the reason Bill Morneau had a closed-door meeting with China or I should say the reason journalists were barred from Bill Morneau’s speech in Beijing more than likely revolved around U.S trade with the United States. The United States via Trump and China have ongoing negotiations and the reality is that this stall tactic by Trump is having a detrimental effect on the Chinese economy, companies in China are not sure what to do, and being that the U.S is there most reliable customer they have to do everything in their power to find a way into that U.S market.
Where Canada comes in as an example is well they can Canada as a dumping ground for Chinese made goods destined for the United States. If people remember because of the USMCA deal Trudeau Liberals planned a tariff to prevent dumping because the truth is dumping would hurt Canadian companies many who are foreign and well Canada can’t afford to take another hit to this sector
Canada moves toward imposing potential new tariffs on steel imports amid dumping fears
Realistically similar to the ePacket deal Canada Post has with China, China is looking for more assurances that their products destined for the United States can land in Canada tariff-free, people forget that tariffs are paid by consumers and not by the manufacturers, so if China can get its products destined for America into Canada they can wipe their hands clean of the problem and force Canadian businesses to deal with managing to get those products in the U.S market.
Being that Trump’s powers have been minimized it will be interesting to see how all of this unfolds. Again what I wrote about above is based on my opinion, typically these backdoor deals happen when one country is reliant on another country. The reason I’m against things like minimum wages and other job-killing regulations is that our dependence on China is growing more and more every day. Although the big issue in Canada this year was supplied management against U.S diary the reality is Canada has all types of tariffs against the United States, which is why our relationship with China is so important.
Because China manipulates or devalues its currency they’re already able to get items in Canada for far less than it’s American equivalent and again this is why I wish Canadians would wake up. This is not a good thing for Canda moving forward unless of course, you like the idea of Canada being a service sector economy dependent on China.
I don’t like to write without providing a solution. So what’s my solution? My solution is for the Canadian dollar to rise and for Canada to get rid of a lot of these dumb regulations. We as a people are fully capable of being global leaders, our education system needs to be revamped and adjusted so students are better able to see the world for what it is economically as well as prepare our students to be competitive globally. In regards to solving our current economic woes, I think personally that the Canadian economy will have to collapse before Canadians realize how bad things are.
I’d also like more Libratarian and conservative voices to speak up so when this collapse happens more Canadians will be prepared to accept a new form of governance that’s based on personal responsibility and individualism. Globalism is not for us and the sooner we figure this out the more prosperity we’ll see in our country. It’s still not too late, wake up Canada!
interesting times ahead.
