Canada’s Cannabis black market is now the Cannabis Private Sector – November 16, 2018,

Cannabis is a very interesting sector that in time may result in changing the way the youth view socialism and big government. Cannabis in Canada is officially legal, however, the difference between Cannabis and Cigarettes as an example is that the consumer is able to see Cannabis in its raw form, whereas in the modern era Cigarettes typically come wrapped and ready to smoke.

Also, tobacco uses especially based on regulations are minimized in comparison to the cannabis uses. As far as food and drinks go the market for Cannabis is limitless, the problem is the private market in Cannabis differs than the retail market, the government imposed regulations that are imposed on Cannabis currently are rather silly to be frank and the more taboo the government makes Cannabis the more people will purchase cannabis from the private sector, which is being called the black market.

Cannabis black market lives on, for now

The truth is the black market exists for price and quality. Another black market which is counterfeit goods is able to thrive in many respects because at times the quality is similar but the price is significantly less. Now, even in the private sector customers know they’re being price gouged, in case you’re not paying attention the price gouging in the Cannabis sector is just beginning. Sure the price of Cannabis is competitive now, but they’ve just started, they’re trying to get people comfortable with the idea of buying cannabis from the Government, but just like everything government related, prices will begin to creep up.

In Ontario as an example we have this entity called LCBO, most Ontarians don’t even realize that they’ve been paying premium prices for years.

A lot of items are inflated in Canada, a lot of Americans avoid coming up north because their greenbacks don’t really go that far anymore. A large number of Canadians believe this has to do with economies of scale, when in fact the problem is we’ve socialized and corporatized almost everything, there’s no mechanism in place to make Government do things efficiently, there’s also no incentive for Crown Corporations to do things efficiently. The Government of Canada and all the Crown Corporations or Corporations receiving government protections or government handouts all have no incentive to lower prices, to be competitive in the marketplace or not to give into employee demands.

Currently, Canada Post workers are on strike in Canada and as ridiculous as their demands sound, they have a point to striking because in their minds all Canada Post has to do is hire more staff, pay employees more money and raise prices on those greedy ungrateful customers they’re serving, problem solved right? This is eventually what’s going to happen to the government control Cannabis monopoly in Canada. I’m just not sure it’s going to work out as planned.

The problem is not how much money Canada will make from Cannabis, the problem is how the government will spend the money it receives. LCBO as an example lots of money for the Ontario government right? But for some reason Ontario is in more debt than California, recreational cannabis is legal in California and take a wild guess if it’s helped California get out of debt? The answer is no, even the fiscally responsible state of Colorado has debt problems. Big government tends to spend money before it receives it. So now that Cannabis is legal the government has already anticipated how much money it will get by controlling and therefore boring money and overtaxing Canadians based on their estimates.

So what this means is inflation, inflation all across the board and inflation is going to hit cannabis markets which of course is going to make the black market a huge supplier, one thing that governments have a hard time understanding is that people know the true cost of things, governments always make the assumption that because they may get away with price gouging the consumer that the consumer won’t find ways around it or simply stop consuming it. In a real market, economy prices don’t continuously go up, prices go up, prices go down, with government intervention prices continuously go up and there always reaches a point where consumers say enough is enough and they simply consume less or find alternative options.

The black market for Cannabis isn’t going anywhere, what Canadians need to consider doing is shrinking the size of government and changing our education system. Canada needs more entrepreneurs and our economy should be reflective of that. These Leftist Liberals, NDP, and centurists Conservatives are ruining our country, I ask Canadians to consider visiting the Peoples’ Party of Canada Website. Join us, the craziness ends in 2018, let’s send these corporatists a very clear message.
