Being honest this story breaks my heart because it’s systemic problem that can only be solved with brute honesty. Economics professor Thomas Sowell writes about the effects minimum wages had on the Native Black/African American population in the United States. The minimum wage, in fact, caused the rise of China, the rise of Japan and the rise of a lot of other 3rd world nations whose economies are now structured to pursue the U.S consumer.
With that said everything has, a plus and a minus, personally, I’ve always been a fan of tariffs, it’s just if a country has tariffs it has to remove it’s own domestic price controls, that’s how I view it. Because if a price control like minimum wages exist on the Federal or the State level it throws tariffs out of whack, because it’s extremely important to understand what minimum wages do, minimum wages domestically cause certain jobs not to exists. China as an example makes a lot of cheap stuff for Walmart, if that cheap stuff were made in America, because of minimum wages, the prices for those cheap goods would have to rise.
If it were my tariff system under a fiat monetary system, my tariffs would be based on a countries money supply, so if a country was artificially devaluing their currency to get an unfair advantage of the domestic population then that country would be subject to a tariff, however my tariff system would fall flat on its face as long as the minimum wage price controls via government enforcement artificially inflate domestic prices. If the domestic government is in the business of artificially raising prices, there’s nothing any sitting U.S President can do to stop it.
So, the reality is, although I see the reason for trumps tariff system, there will be consequences if China plays its usual waiting game. Although it might seem odd that Walmart would go after its greeters’ jobs, the truth is, it’s not about paying the greeters now that worries Walmart, it’s paying them later that they’re concerned with. One of the reasons former President Barack Obama bailed out Wall Street was not to save the rich as Bernie Sanders would want you to believe, Barack Obama, bailed out Wall Street to save the middle class and their retirement pensions. More and more Americans are expected to retire soon and that bill is coming due.
If any group of people is deserving of welfare it’s the working middle class, it’s the none working classes that will be problematic in the years to come and this is why if the Federal Reserve doesn’t raise interest rates to normal levels which will soon be 5% – 6% the working classes that actually kept America in operation are going to have a lot of problems going forward.
As many of you know, I don’t really care much for the non-working poor, especially the non-working poor in Western countries, I hate white supremacists or white nationalist because they refuse to look in the mirror and realize that the problem with white people are the lazy white people who are ideological Fascists but pretend to be fun loving socialists, most of the fascists in America are single moms, single women, and beta Liberal men. These lazy people want redistribution of income, these Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez types are growing in popularity and the time of reckoning is drawing nearer.
I still don’t understand why working class people can’t see what’s going on? Ther so-called poor are taking most of the money and resources and they’re consuming the most resources because of minimum wages, the minimum wages law is the dumbest law in human history, it’s anti-entrepreneur, it’s anti-work, it’s anti-business, it’s destructive, it’s based on greed and envy, it’s based on inflating the currency, it’s rooted in white supremacy, the only reason a lot of people abandoned minimum wages was that in practice minimum wages and unions constrained productivity.
It’s not that people can dream of those silly laws, but they’re silly, they’re used to artificially raise the price of labor in hopes to screw over the entrepreneur job creator. Even European countries who consider themselves socialist abandoned minimum wages, if that doesn’t make you think about the damaging effects of minimum wages, I don’t know what will. A lot of so-called poor Americans refuse to work on farms, no they want to live in big cities on the cheap and get government welfare, minimum wages give these so-called poor people an excuse for not finding a job. Now why this Walmart story bothers me is that if you’ve ever worked with disabled people, what you’ll figure out quickly is that many of them simply want to work, many of them don’t even care about the pay, they just want some purpose to their lives, they want to have something to do.
This really hurts me to the core, because these Liberal laws are destroying society, they’re making productive people unproductive, in the old days of white supremacy, the racist whites of the time feared the black population would replace them and thus they created a bunch of stupid laws that wound up hurting most parts of the southern states. A lot of people don’t even think about moving to certain U.S States becomes there’s a certain perception of hate that resides there, even if it’s no longer the case. That’s what regressive and protective legislation and regulation do to countries.
With that said, a lot of these problems are still easily fixable, it’s just people need a dose of the truth, it’s unlikely people will want the truth in a period like now, but when things start to get really bad that’s when people will be more willing to listen, consider reading any one of the articles below to learn more about what’s happening at Walmart.
