Property taxes are not the solution to Toronto’s revenue crisis – March 2, 2019

This is in response to the Toronto article you can read below:

Edward Keenan: Property taxes are the obvious solution to Toronto’s revenue crisis – Toronto Star

It’s annoying living in Ontario sometimes because there are so many tax and spend Liberals and socialists. Higher taxation often leads to government workers and, contractors of the government also demanding a pay raise. When there’s a rise in property taxes teachers and other unionized government workers want a larger slice of the pie. Government workers and contractors of the government don’t work for free, it’s not a secret that the Government always pays above market rates and doesn’t know too much about quality controls, This is how taxes dollars work, this the real reason Toronto has a crisis, to begin with, there’s nothing natural about prices for doing the exact same job going up.

Prices go up because of the government, in a free market prices come down, which is what Liberals and socialists hate, because the people like the Jews and the Chinese are far better at telling the difference between an asset and a liability and therefore particular groups of individuals tend to get richer while money morons who usually work in some capacity for the government or fight to protect a growing government get poorer.

Mississauga Ontario, as far as I know, was never the highest taxed city, I believe Durham region is the highest taxed region in Ontario and there isn’t much difference between Mississauga and Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa except that Mississauga may have more people. Toronto’s problem stems primarily with how they spend the money they do have. In my perfect world municipalities would collect the most taxes and have the most power, while the provincial and federal governments would have the least power. I’ve spoken to a lot of municipal leaders, councilors and mayors and stated many of them are morons, however, they’re able to promote their buffoonery because most of the policies they fight for go unnoticed as all the attention is put on the Premiers and Prime ministers.

Raising taxes will simply give rise to more government workers and contractors of the government fighting to get more money. That’s how it’s always been and that’s how it always will be, Edward Keenan doesn’t even talk specifics about how the money will be spent, his article is vague, he provides a simple conclusion without giving any details about the actual individuals and private entities that will get the lions share of the money. Lastly what’s also ignored and it’s probably done on purpose because most of these people wanting higher property taxes to work for the real estate lobby and as everybody knows, higher property taxes means an increase in lease and rental prices.

I’ve written in length about renters in Toronto and the limited options they have because condos and condo owners are the new landlords and many of these stupid retarded piece of shit real estate investors who are supposedly investing for ‘cashflow’ paid way too much for a piece of shit condo that in time will make them bankrupt if they don’t find a sucker to either sell the condo too or a sucker who will pay way above market rent to rent or lease these junk condos out.

As we know there’s also a crackdown on Airbnb which is a tool most of these moron real estate investors are using to make up for their mortgage and condo fee shortfalls and basically the market will crash and the real estate lobby doesn’t want to take the blame, when this crash happens, so what they’re trying to do is alleviate themselves of the inevitable, because I mean all a person has to do is call up a few realtors and they’ll get a better understanding of the real estate carnage that’s already happening in Toronto in what’s supposedly a booming market.

Whatever, it is what it is!

Interesting times ahead.
