China accuses detained Canadians of stealing state secrets – Minimum Wages Strike Again! – March 4, 2019,
I’ve always been for a strong currency and the reason for that is what’s happening to Canadians in China now, Canada is a free nation, we’re lucky to live here and our standard of living is one of the best in the world, so in my opinion there’s absolutely no reason that Canada should have a minimum wage in any province, the minimum wage law is huge job killer, it’s a price control that creates an atmosphere that doesn’t allow certain jobs to exist in any province in Canada, adding to the problem is that regardless of what the BoC does with the Loonie, the minimum wage will distort the entire Canadian economy.
So although interest rates are low and the Canadian loonie is a lot lower than the U.S Greenback, you’ll still find items not related to Government regulations which a cheaper than you’ll find in the United States. With that said in Ontario as an example because there’s a Government or State-owned enterprise known as a Crown Corporation, the LCBO in Ontario makes buying Liquor a lot more expensive than purchasing the exact same bottle of liquor in Neighbouring Liberal, New York State, the problem is so perverse that the Canadian Federal Government has to keep Duties and taxes high enough not to incentivize Canadians from purchasing liquor exclusively from New York.
Now, the effects of doing these silly price control laws and regulations are that it turns business away from Canada, into the hands of China. Now, that China is doing a large portion of our manufacturing and we don’t exactly have an intimidating Army, China does whatever it wants and dares Canada to do something about it. Now, China obviously wouldn’t dare to try this stunt to Americans, there are plenty of Americans in China right now, a few Americans even got caught stealing in China which is s serious offense, one call from President Trump and those thieves were set Free.
Don Cherry is a person a grew up listening to and on the CBC Don Cherry has said several times to the Canadian audience, stop booing the U.S Hockey team and cheering for the American team, because America is our ally, our partner our friend, but economically in favor of protectionism and I assume Canadian sovereignty, a large number of Canadians brown nose Americans when given the opportunity, it comes across as insecurity which we should be as we’ve taken the commonly traveled road known as socialism and because Americans up until Trump have been quiet about our behavior which for the most part has been us using our lower priced currency and government protections to sell our products and services to Americans at a rate they can’t compete with, while at the time restricting their products and services from entering into Canada with the same leisurely trade they allow us into their market, we as Canadians for the first time in a long time have found ourselves on the wrong side of history.
I understand that it’s going to take a large segment of the Canadian population to understand what’s happened under Trudeau, but I’ll try to explain it in a few words. Justin Trudeau made a few assumptions about politics which aren’t true, the first assumption Justin Trudeau made was believing that economies fix themselves, it’s important to understand that none of Pierre Trudeau’s policies were economically viable. Former Conservative PM Brian Mulroney spent his entire time as Prime minister trying to fix the economic destruction caused by Trudeau.
Jean Chretien and Paul Martin managed to temporarily fix the economic disasters caused by Pierre Trudeau, however, they did it by being corrupt and opening up pandora’s box, Stephen Harper came along and did a fairly good job micro-managing the economy caused by Paul Martins corporatist Liberals and then along comes Justin Trudeau he in many ways is the extreme version of his father. I can tell the reader with absolute certainty that Justin Trudeau doesn’t understand trade and bartering. During NAFTA renegotiations Justin Trudeau’s advisor included GM Union President Jerry Dias, under Jerome P. Dias, Juniors leadership GM has done nothing but shrink it’s manufacturing presence in Ontario, this is not made up this is a fact.
With that said, what Justin Trudeau’s social arrogance has actually done is it’s shined a light on the Canadian economy, we’re getting a lot of unnecessary attention and being that Justin Trudeau and Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland, both are second generation politicians who for obvious reasons aren’t very versed in barter and trade, have no clue how to deal with dictators. In regards to dictators, you have to call them, you have to harass them, you even have to beg if necessary.
I want to remind the reader that 1 call from Donald Trump and some American thieves were released from a Chinese prison, thieves were released, literal thieves who were caught on camera stealing, Trump got these people released with a simple phone call, the Canadians who are detained in China for “stealing state secrets” they’re in the Chinese Kangaroo court because Trudeau’s people don’t know anything about barter or trade. Let me point out that Canada’s been in similar situations before, but again the reason why I’m constantly bashing minimum wages and a Lower Loonie is that these situations would be less likely if Canada wasn’t playing this economic race to the bottom game.
We’re losing our manufacturing for service sector jobs, once a student doesn’t learn woodshop in school as an adult that student will be ignorant on how to make wood related things, furthermore it will be harder for an employer to teach him/her when minimum wages have ballooned to the level that’s still not enough for Jerry Dias. When Canada stops making things or only makes and manufactures a smaller number of things and replaces those manufacturing jobs with desk jobs, well the end result is that the people who make things for you can kidnap your citizens and there’s little to nothing you do about it, especially if you want a good economy heading into the next election. Yes, Canada if China cuts off trade to Canada, Canada is royally screwed, we have massive tariffs on imports from the U.S coming into Canada if you don’t believe me go on a U.S buying binge and see what bill the Canadian border security gives you when you enter back into Canada. Being that Canadians have gotten used to this artificially created standard of life, things will simply have to be what they are.
