Employer Health Tax in British Columbia Destroying Small Businesses – March 26, 2019,

If I didn’t own a small business, chances are I’d be ignorant to how everything works, chances are if I was an employee my entire life, I’d assume that the government as to raise minimum wages and steal from business owners in order for them to pay me. If I never owned a small business, chances are I’d view things or be susceptible to viewing the world, the way Karl Marx viewed the world. I mean let’s be honest here, why wouldn’t I? If I wasn’t in business, I wouldn’t have any other point of reference, store shelves are full, there always seems to be money ion the cash register, why shouldn’t the government not raise the minimum wage and force all businesses to conform under the Marxist umbrella? It’s not like I would have started a business or even had a deep-rooted desire to start a business, so of course, I’d view business owners as exploiters of labor?

In Canada, this is genuinely the feeling a large segment of the population has and it doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon, because let’s be honest, unless something is affecting you directly, why should you care? Well, I’m going to try to explain to you in a few words why you should. Based on Liberal, NDP, and Conservative policies in Canada, in the event Canada falls into a recession, especially now, this might be the time when businesses are forced to radically raise prices for everything, this will inevitably happen because the barrier to entry has been raised to start a business in Canada.

This artificially created barrier to entry in Canada is so high now, that there’s a good chance that the types of small businesses you see now, won’t be around in the future, by that I mean, they won’t hire as many people and consumers will have less options, which in easy to understand terms equates to a larger segment of the Canadian populace working for the government, which means we won’t be producing or manufacturing much of anything, which of course means that we’ll be more reliant on imports, which means the Loonie will most likely decline or the Bank of Canada will be forced to raise interest rates.

If you don’t understand what I wrote above, don’t worry, because if Canadians don’t change their voting patterns soo, they’re going to learn everything the hard way. Most of the poor countries of this world are poor because their government is larger than their private sector. Africa, a lot of Leftists love to help Africa, well, Africa is run by dictators, I’m sure we’ve all met smart Africans before, which is why the IQ debate is still debatable. What’s not debatable is that everywhere you go in Africa, socialism and Marxism is the dominant economic philosophy, which is of course what the African governments use to micromanage their economies. We have to keep the imperialists out of Africa is the mantra, so nobody invests in Africa, everybody wants to change Africa, but their government policies won’t allow the private sector to do anything, the costs are too great.

This bog government mentality is very prevalent in Canada and although little stories like the one you can read below, don’t seem like much, they add up and one day B.C and most parts of Canada will simply have a limited supply of small businesses that aren’t family run. I often write about the Chinese in Canada, well the Chinese business owners in Canada don’t really have to worry about minimum wages, because most of their businesses are family-run businesses, that’s simply one of the reasons why I don’t agree with minimum wages, it’s a dumb law, it doesn’t allow people to understand that being an employee like being a small business owner is a choice, and once people are able to at least try to be their own bosses, they’ll see that the real business problems we have in Canada aren’t caused by business owners, the problems are caused by politicians picking economic winners and losers
