In a sad attempt to get re-elected Rachel Notley wants to remove market fundamentals for Daycare – $25-a-day daycare! – March 26, 2019,
Based on a pilot project that of course, was going to work because well it was a pilot project that the beneficiaries of Government services didn’t have to pay full price for. Imagine I could buy a new Lamborghini for the price of a 10-year-old used Honda Civic? Sounds like a great deal to me, sign me up. Ok, so Rachel Notley now wants to bring a non-market based daycare program to Alberta. NDP have always been socialists, so obviously this doesn’t surprise me, being that Alberta is Canada’s richest province, there’s a lot of money available presently to redistribute to programs like this.
Prior to Canada becoming socialist, daycare wasn’t that expensive, there were multiple avenues and if you couldn’t afford to have children typically women didn’t. Well, now because Canada has embraced the welfare state and being that Canadian laws like polygamy are being undermined by certain religious and other groups, this progression into the government taking over child care is only natural, right?
Alberta currently has one of the more free markets in Canada, but that’s beginning to chip away pretty much because the Political Right in Alberta hasn’t been upfront with the people. The Political Right has to keep talking, I understand that many of you would prefer to ignore what’s happening to Canada, but if you don’t start speaking up now, when this recession hits, unlike in the 1990s when debt levels weren’t like this, Canada is going to experience some serious pain. People do understand that once market fundamentals are thrown out of the window, one the recession hits, our currency is going to take a serious hit, now imagine if this day-care plan happens families get used to it, and the government announces that it’s no longer affordable?
This is how riots get started, this is how confusion sets in, in countries like France, the people have become so accustomed to the government solving problems via regulations, that now that the government genuinely can’t fix the problem, the French people rightly assume that it’s some sort of external corruption happening that’s causing price instability. $25 a day health care? Really?
What are the prices of minimum wages in Alberta again? real estate, heating, and A/C, wear and tear, upkeeps adhering to current regulations, $25 per child, which quite possibly could have been possible by the market, you know if prices were allowed to deflate based on demand. But you know prices in Canada can’t deflate, because we have socialism, we have bottoms and price controls like the minimum wage as well as other regulations that artificially keep prices up, now once these price controls are instituted the consumer doesn’t want to pay for them, we, after all, are living in a society where consumers rule, right? Well, there’s one thing the NDP is great at everywhere they go and that’s raising the cost of living. I don’t know Alberta…, I pay close attention to your Province because the moment Alberta enters into have not territory the rest of Canada is screwed. re-elect Rachel Notley at your own peril.
