It’s Time To End Equalization Payments, François Legault makes it clear Quebec doesn’t want another pipeline – April 18, 2019,

For the record, Equalization Payments pays for public servants and public services, a lot of people think that Equalization Payments simply make things equal, it’s not true.

The purpose of equalization payments is to enable the “have not” provinces to provide public services which are reasonably comparable to those in other provinces, at similar levels of taxation. The money the provinces receive through equalization can be spent in any way the provincial government desires and often help guarantee a standard level of health care, education, and welfare in all the provinces.

It’s important to understand that without Equalization Payments Quebec is not only broke it’s bankrupt. Now obviously in Quebec, the assumption is that their economy would be fine without Equalization Payments, it’s really not true when you look at the numbers. Although Ontario has more debt, the Quebec public sector which includes crown corporations is so underwater that if Quebec were a nation with its own currency it would really be an economic hell hole.

But because of the subsidies, it receives, the province of Quebec, of course, assumes that they’ll be fine with or without any help from the Government of Canada. All that aside, it should be noted that François Legault is supposedly a Conservative so again this proves my point that Canada needs to economic reform, because if you look at François Legault’s policies it’s protectionist, his policies border on Fascist. I’ve often written about racism in the NDP party, not only by the Europeans but also by the South Asians. People who tend to lean in the Centre Politically tend to be the most racist I find. Because people in the Centre-Left or Right typically love the idea of picking winners and losers.

You see if you’re on the Political Right, which equates to Individualism and economic freedom, it’s almost impossible to be racist if you listen to most people white people on the political Right, the people they can’t stand the most are other White People. But when you start listening to the Political Leftists, most of their policies revolve around collective based issues, like Race, price controls, using the government to oppress groups they don’t agree with, expanding welfare for particular entities and groups. That’s the centre-Left and the Centre Right in a nutshell and in this instance because François Legault knows that Equalization Payments is an entitlement of Quebec’s not only can talk about what types of people should be migrating to Quebec but he can reject Pipelines from the entity that pays his Provinces bills.

Spoiled children typically have bad attitudes because there are no consequences for their bad behaviors, eventually, these spoiled children grow into entitled adults and if they ever have to work in the real world, which requires bartering/negotiating they’ll typically take the position of being a know it all. This is actually insecure posturing, sure Albertans see it clearly, but I don’t know if most Quebecers fully grasp the awakening that’s happening in this country. There was a time when Canadians would genuinely care if Quebec left Canada, now, not so much, sure it would make the news, sure it would elicit a reaction, but the truth is as it stands now, Canada would be better off without Quebec and quite frankly, Alberta would be better off without Canada.

When you’re on welfare, you tend to forget what life is really like without it. Africa as an example might not understand how much worse that continent would be without Bill Gates. What Bill Gates does for Africa, goes unnoticed because he’s been doing it for so long, well what Western Canada, namely Alberta does for Eastern Canada goes underappreciated. The only politician talking about ending Equalization Payments is Maxime Bernier. Oddly enough he’s from Quebec?

There appears to be a Conservative wave brewing in Canada, my problem is that the Conservative Party of Canada has no interest in changing the thinking or the entitlement culture of this country. This in time will prove to be disastrous, because Equalization Payments similar to welfare, in general, creates a different type of human. If you’re a good competent mechanic in Canada today, and you’re smart enough to be an entrepreneur, you’re laughing all the way to the bank. If you fix things or know how to fix things in Canada, more important than money, in the near future will be the skills you can offer the market. Because understand the big government culture all over the world is going to be challenged in the very near future. More and more people in the English speaking world are waking up to the entity causing the most poverty.

Technology oddly enough is going to assist this wave which is going to hit the world like a ton of bricks. What I’m alluding too is the changing and evolving true Conservative Culture. There are now teenagers that are fully versed in free market economics. The government won’t be able to hire these kids, these kids won’t be controlled and the way these new generations of geniuses are growing up is going to flip this planet upside down. If you’re asleep to what I’m saying, don’t worry, you’ll start to learn about it in the next few years, the bottom line is the big government culture is coming to an end Globally and people better start preparing.

If you can see the disaster that’s brewing in Canada, you’ll be able to comprehend that Quebec is on the wrong side of history. Quebec is a bloated economy with entitled people, sure they don’t see it now, but the correction is coming and when this correction hits Canada. Equalization Payments are going to be the least of Quebec’s concerns. Certain skills have to develop early on in childhood to be comprehended and well, I’ll say it again the new world is fastly approaching and I hope Canada can change course.
