Student debt contributing to record number of Ontario insolvencies, But the NDP wants more Canadians to drown in Debt – October 23, 2019,

So, to understand student debt is to actually understand what drives up tuition costs in Canada, what drives up tuition costs in Canada is student loans. A quick explanation that people can understand, cell phones all over the world including top tier Apple iPhone is about $300 CAD, however, it currently almost sells for $2000CAD, why? It’s because people are willing and able to go into debt to purchase it, if let’s say the Tab plan didn’t exist, the price of the iPhone would come down drastically, however, because idiots are willing to go into debt to buy it, they retail it for a higher price.

Car loans make the price of cars more expensive, you’ll notice that if you buy a car without bank financing you’re going to get a much better deal, especially if you know how to barter, this same rule applies to college and university tuition. Prices are inflated because student loans allow students to pay inflated prices, which otherwise wouldn’t exist if students paid with their own money. The reality of the situation is when people have to pay out of pocket for something, they’re less likely to take a college or University course that won’t help them to be employed after graduation.

Furthermore, if parents are paying for the children’s education, it’s less likely that a parent will pay for a course that won’t allow their child to be employed after graduation. Now, of course, there are exceptions to this rule, but when this was to happen chances are the students and the parents would target the schools for their frustration as opposed to the government. I know via equalizations payments it doesn’t feel like it Ontario is broke, but Ontario is broke and the mere fact that students can declare bankruptcy to get rid of their student loan, gives you an understanding as to why the Ford Government is making cutbacks to student loans

I give credit where credit is due, student loans in my opinion shouldn’t be the governments responsibility, if the students loans are worth something let the private sector deal with it. Foreign students are willing to pay a premium to go to Canadian schools, if Canadian schools cared about students they lower prices, but they don’t care, what some Ontario colleges would prefer to do is use the provincial governments to finace their retirements without any accountability. The CBC story below is a horrible read, it reads like Leftist propaganda, which completely obsolves the schools and their staff for their wreckless spending habits which lets be honest is the real problem.

Regarding housing, I’ve been saying for years, the CMHC experiement mortgage insurance experiemient hasn’t work, if it worked, prices would be stable, inflated housng prices shouldn’t be subidized by the Federal Governemnt, The CMHC is one of Canada’s most profitable government gencies and Renters are having to pay for it. The Real estate lobby is extremely powerful in Canada and presenty both the Bank of Canada and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation which has gone as far as to offer “down payment loans” is subsiding the housing market which is preventing young students to rent apartments, because what would have been rental housing are now condos and a lot of condos don’t allow renters and a lot of condos in Ontario have a lot of unoccupided units or their owners offer inflated rental prices. The BoC and the CMHC are both subsiding Canada’s housing market, Canadian students are stuck. If you read the story below, the main problem the working student seems to have revolves around the cost of living.

Capitlaism deflates prices it doesn’t raise prices, Socialism raises prices, Government people do not work for free, in socialism, one socialist scratches the back of the other socialist. Via Ontario’s Private Sector, taxpayers are paying more expensive for everything in order for the government workforces to maintain higer rates of pay. Ontario student loans are being used to fatten the salaries of particular organizations in Ontario, who benefit from the Student loans.

I remind readers that Student loan payments are paid to particular entities in Ontario that are easy to research, which don’t necessarily have to provide better services to the students they claim to serve. Typically if the price for something goes up year afer year, there’s usually a benefit to the consumer/customer if prices are going up and the consumer isn’t getting any benefit for the higher prices, people should question why? When more money is guaranteed to a particular entity whether they provide a better service, typically this is happening because Socialists expect to be paid more for a non-competitive non-economic related reason they deem is worthy.

Student loans provided by the government is money being put to something that would otherwise have lower prices, in a competitive capitalistic market. If students year after year are graduating in debt and declaring bankruptcy, a common sense question that should be asked is why? Why aren’t people talking about the vaue of education? Could it be because they didn’t have to pay the full price for school? People indebt tend to suffer in silence and if the person feels priviledged to have gone to college, this indebted student may never call out the root cause of their indebtedness. Ontario students, just so I’m clear, there’s nothing normal about student load debt People like me argue that tution in Canada is high primaily because young students are being used to finance the wages and retirements of school teachers.

If you can’t go to school without a student loan and you’re not the only one, chances are the schools aren’t pricing their tution based on market prices. Home prices in Canada arent reflective of wages, why? Because the government is involved in the housing market, the government is picking winners and losers, the Canadian government is helping to make the rich richer and the poor, poorer and whenever a Doug Ford type comes along and attempts to to change things, he’s met with fierce opposition by people who’d like to see the status quo remain in tact. Why isn’t school? Because teachers want to get paid and they want to be paid well.

It’s okay to be paid well, but is it right for students to go into serious debts just so these teachers can be paid well? If school is free, should teachers be unionized, should teachers be able to lobby the government and demand higher wages at the expensive of people who don’t get to summer vacations on their jobs? If you wonder why school isn’t free, don’t forget to ask teachers why they demand people who don’t get a summer vacation to pay them more in tax dollars. Public Servants, people who work in the public sector do not work for free, so don’t forget that when Government people are fighting to make sure more students can be in debt, what these politicians are actually trying to do is make students finance their lifestyle.

The article below should be titled the NDP Government of Ontario wants to bankrupt students in order to finance teachers lavish lifestyles!
