Supposedly Racist rant at Burnaby Shopper’s Drug Mart caught on video? It didn’t sound racist to me – October 31, 2019,

I almost ignored this article, because I was first made aware of the article because of Jagmeet Singhs response, whenever I see the title of an article with a headline Jagmet Singh, Elizabeth May, or Justin Trudeau with the words racist attached to it, I typically ignore it, because all these Leftist politicians do is virtue signal and try to make themselves seem better than us lowly earthlings.

So anyway, I ended up watching the supposedly racist video on GlobalNews and I was a bit disappointed, I expected Hitler salutes, shaved heads, swastikas and National Socialists re-assuring the world that White Supremacy isn’t dead. What I saw however was what looked like a young mother in SHOPPERS DRUG MART in an English speaking part of Canada, upset that the all East Asian staff was speaking in what I assume was their mother tongue in front of her. I worked in customer service, humans can get pretty upset when it comes to returns.

If you’re wondering where all of these quick and painless return policies came from, well it’s because humans can raise hell when they want their money back. Some businesses simply calculate the time and cost, while other businesses intentionally make returns difficult to make customers think twice about doing it.

So yeah, I tend to look at these situations differently, For all, you Old Stock Canadians, wtf did you think was going to happen? Why shouldn’t east Asians or any other ethnic group speak their own language in front of you in these big corporations? Part of the mandate of Canadian labor unions is to use the Government to artificially raise the cost of Labor. So via minimum wages, the cost to run a business is more expensive, which equates to fewer smaller businesses and more mass migration.

Small businesses are usually just like employees, they want to make enough money to live a comfortable life, Big Corporations with Bean counters for managers and CEO’s see things differently. Many will destroy your countries economy and social cohesion if they need too. After all big corporations have shareholders to answer too and if your pension is reliant on the stock market or growing the size of the Government, you’d be wise to shut the hell up while this transition is taking place.

Jagmeet Singh Just Responded To The Racist Shoppers Drug Mart Incident Going Viral In BC | MSN

Personally I’m against socialism and protectionism, however, in a democracy, I’m of the belief that if the people want Socialism they should do as Switzerland does, which is make it illegal for politicians to Run perpetual deficits. Do people understand that in Switzerland a politician can go to jail for running a deficit? Why does Switzerland take deficit spending so serious? Because socialism left unattended is very expensive.

It’s very hard in the modern era for people to understand how Switzerland’s central bank can have negative interest rates, well, if you’re struggling to understand it, it’s because they have responsible governments. Not to be confused with perfect governments, responsible governments, don’t give their citizens the illusion of prosperity, when they’re actually indebted. Why, because when civil unrest occurs, the now uneducated public will react emotionally. People usually react emotionally when they don’t know what’s going on. Canada the country I love has masses of brainwashed citizens, from my perspective I see a lot of zombies in Canada and despite what many Old-Stock Canadians might think, most of the brainwashed people are white people, who assumed there were would be no consequences for growing the public sector using debt.

A lot of white people are pro-welfare, pro-protectionism and in general, are advocating the current status quo. What did white people think, there wasn’t a price for social justice? Did white people think there wasn’t a price for being lazy or uncompetitive? there wasn’t a price for minimum wages? a price for security? a price for growing the public sector? Sorry white people socialism is expensive. You want the government to price fix things in the economy, eventually, your laziness or the laziness of your ancestors is going to come back to haunt you.

Shopper’s Drug Mart is part of Loblaw Companies Limited, Canada’s largest food retailer, Let’s put this story in its proper context please

Long, long ago, there were voices, mostly Libertarian and Conservative voices warning the masses about large corporate retail monopolies, it’s pretty hard to explain this stuff to the young in the modern era because certain regulations and particular price controls measures are no longer debatable, at least not in Canada. I, like many other Conservatives, like to point the finger at the minimum wage-price control.

There’s an expectation of consumers when they go into large retail establishments. If I go to a Vietnamese Restaurant owned, by Vietnamese people that would be classified as a small business, sure in Canada it would be in the interests of Vietnamese owners to learn English IF most of their customers spoke English. But it wouldn’t feel as odd if the family-owned business owners spoke their mother tongue primarily while in the presence of their English speaking customers. Why? Because it’s a small business, when most people see or experience small businesses, they expect things, a small business is usually making the best use of resources, if you go into a small business, by the end of your visit if you’re consciously aware of it, you’ll know if the small business is being run efficiently and if it will survive or not.

People instinctively have different expectations of small and medium-sized businesses, even people who use the justice system to sue businesses, soon realize the limited resources most small and mid-sized businesses have. I often write that most business, in general, are in more debt than the consumers they serve. This, of course, enrages entitled consumers, who soon realize the minimal resources at the governments’ disposal and this, of course, leads to most people assuming that the end goal is to make the government as big and as powerful as possible, because, via a big government, the illusion of security is created.

Now, if a country wasn’t allowed to deficit spend these illusions wouldn’t exist, humans would instinctively realize that we all need each other and should love each other, however when there’s this illusion that I as an individual can see the power of the government to silence people I don’t agree with, a lot of people instead of loving their neighbor, loving their small and mid-sized business owner, will instead love the Government and the Big Corporations who work in conjunction together to make our lives as free souls more inconvenient.

My tailor is Greek, they speak Greek in front of me all the time, as a matter of fact, I don’t even know if they’re speaking Greek, because I never bothered to ask, I like them because they’re nice people, simple people, I smile with them, they smile back, as silly as it sounds this makes me fork over money to them. I want them to be prosperous because they’re helping me to look nice. I don’t care what language they speak, in fact, I’ve had clothing that they’ve botched, but I’m not perfect either, so when this does happen I speak with them and try to work out something in a civilized manner.

In order for that relationship to work, I as a consumer have to be civilized, I can’t look down at my tailor, he’s human just like I am, however, we have a grievance that we both need to barter in order to come to a resolution. The customer is always right because the customer is paying your bills, so when my tailor messes up, if he/she is smart they’ll allow me to come away feeling like a winner. However during refunds, if the tailer makes the mistake of viewing the interaction from their viewpoint alone, well, for the sake of their business, they’d better hope that I as the consumer have no other alternatives.

If the Shoppers Drug Mart Closes Down in Burnaby Does The Consumer Have any Alternatives?

In a free market, there’s typically an abundance of options, in a protected market, there are a handful of dominant players. Now, in Canada, the culture that’s been presented is that Big Business is the way to go and for most people when they see big business, they feel a sense of security and entitlement. In the Supposedly Racist rant at Burnaby Shopper’s Drug Mart caught on video, the woman felt a sense of entitlement, she’s in Shoppers Drug Mart and at the very least she probably thought to herself they should be speaking English on the job? Is that too much to ask? Well, in the Justin Trudeau, Social Justice era, yes, yes it is too much to ask, I mean it’s not like she has many other options?

In Ontario, Walmart is basically the only other option to Shoppers Drug Mart, sure there are small mom and pop shops around, but Shoppers Drug Mart doesn’t have too many revivals and because of this, the entire interaction, especially from the perspective of a person who can’t put the incident in its proper context, can be framed by some as racist, when in fact it shouldn’t be. What good is a big corporation in Canada where the native tongue is English and French if people in that company don’t have to speak English or French on the job?

Should she have handled the situation differently? Of course, she should have, but at the very least when you watch the video, view the woman not as a white woman but as an English speaking young mother, in an English speaking country having minimal expectations for the Shoppers Drug Mart employees to speak English in her presence. In Canada just so people are aware, Shoppers Drug Mart is the equivalent to Walmart in America.

Also, a lot of what is available there isn’t available anywhere else and Canadians consciously allow these monopolies to exist with the expectation of superior customer service.

My final thoughts, not a big deal, she’s doesn’t appear to be a racist and her son will be fine as long as she loves him. If you find yourself in a similar situation, what I’d recommend is file a complaint after the interaction, typically these big corporations have areas on-and-offline where you can file a complaint regarding the customer service you received. Try not to get emotional, gather yourself and be targeted as to the reason why you’re filing your complaint.

My long term solution is simple, end these monopolies by getting rid of these artificially high barriers to entry. There are necessary regulations then there are silly regulations. Shrink the size of Government, and reconsider this thinking that some companies and some people in Canada are more special than everybody else. We all need to love and look out for each other. Stop allowing politicians like Jagmet Singh to pin us against each other.

This is very tough to watch. One of the many things I love about Burnaby and all of 🇨🇦 is hearing all the different languages people use – I try to learn how to say ‘Hi’ in as many languages as I can, because it’s beautiful to be around.

We need to stand together against hate. https://t.co/0t3NFGZFCx

No, Jagmet we need to love everyone, all people in that situation need love and support, all people make mistakes all the people in that Shoppers Drug Mart interaction are all worthy of our love. Stop trying to separate us!

Interesting times ahead
