Young Alberta men facing a 20% unemployment rate, not because of market conditions, it’s all about modern Liberal Politics – December 11, 2019,

Just being honest, I don’t know what it feels like not to have a job, when I’ve wanted a job I found one, however being perfectly honest, in my younger years, I would have been content simply being a plumber. Being a plumber was difficult for someone like me, primarily because of the type of public education I received, ignorance, the poverty I endured growing up and the regulations which artificially raised the barrier to entry and complicated things that I still to this very day don’t believe needed to be so complex.

Via unions and the government market conditions changed to be what the government wanted. Whether this is right or not, I stayed out of the trades because I don’t like my existence to be overly regulated. United States Senator Mitt Romney once said “Corporations are people too” to most people who know little to nothing about business, the types who think business and capitalism are evil, those words utter by the former U.S Presidential hopeful sounded ridiculous. Corporations are people too? No, they’re not, corporations are large buildings with greedy billionaires who exploit the poor, right? Well, that’s been the strategy used by Canada’s Leftist Political Parties to frame the hard-working people in Western Canada.

I often write and speak negatively of the minimum wage laws, of course, this can come across as an act of greed also, but what minimum wage laws do is they put people out of work, with a minimum wage law, it’s illegal to drive down wages? Now, as most people know in a lot of homogeneous countries minimum wages have been abolished, why? Because small business drive a great society, small business creates the middle class, owning a small business with the ability to employ your neighbor allows for a society that often isn’t overrun by large corporations. Large corporations often get large because their competition has been marginalized and competition gets marginalized because of government edicts.

The government to date is having a difficult time turning a profit with marihuana, Marihuana is a plant, I know people who like to grow plants for fun, in order for the government to tax a plant it has to artificially create value that isn’t based on any market fundamental. One way to create value is to make alternatives ILLEGAL, carbon taxes, global warming in general as it relates to Canadian energy revolves around making certain types of energy in Canada illegal, doing this has devastating effects that I doubt the current Canadian government can comprehend in the long term.

In America, the minimum wage laws along with the welfare State did something to Black Americans that the white racists never could, it made a large chunk of the black American population dependent on the Government. It was illegal for blacks Americans to sell their labor for whatever they wanted, this led to an increased level of unemployment, after a few generations of the Black American population becoming dependent on the government for their survival and entitlement mentality arose, the government needs to do more, although the white majority in America believed they’d never face the same problems as the Black population, the reality is the White population also became dependent on the Welfare State also, now in 2019, there is a growing demand for Welfare.

As proven under the Obama administration, the stock market is now a house of cards and anytime the market wants it can crash the U.S economy. Obama was a Socialist, the market knew this when Obama was running for president, if you know anything about the 2007-2008 market crash, you’d know that it wasn’t that big a deal, what made the stock market crash a big deal was how the Obama administration along with the U.S Central Bank reacted to it. They bailed out Wall Street, printed money. The U.S Government picked winners and losers and the U.S economy was ‘saved’, so we were told.

It’s no secret that the U.S market is headed for a crash if the wrong person becomes President of the United States and unlike the last time, Canada doesn’t have a lot of wiggle room to weasel ourselves out. Public Servants in Canada are dependent on a lower loonie and a profitable economy. Green energy has proven to be profitable yet, at least not in Canada and the longer Alberta youth are out of work, the more likely it is that it will either leave Canada or change career paths. There’s already a shortage in the trades in Canada, and it’s not like you can simply immigrate tradespeople to Canada under our strict regulatory guidelines.

A lot of the Condos and other housing developments being built during this so-called housing boom in Canada are built by foreigners, so in the event, you’re wondering why the quality is decreasing, this is what happens when a country is dependent on external entities to maintain it’s infrastructure. I also do not know what will happen to the Canadian dollar in the event of we’re no longer an energy powerhouse. The Canadian dollar is artificially low, because Canadian public sector workers would have a hard time being financed with an appreciated Canadian dollar, however, let’s imagine for a moment that the market finds it difficult to attach the Canadian dollar to anything tangible? For the most part, the Canadian dollar is looked at like a Petro-Dollar, I actually like that Trudeau has been keeping a low profile because I’d prefer the rest of the world not look at the numbers.

Perception is key and the market believes that Canadians will find a way to keep it together. So luckily we’re given the benefit of the doubt, however, the benefit of the doubt can’t hide what’s happening to Western Canada, they don’t make men like this in the east, we can pretend Western Canadian white men are easily replaceable but the reality is far different. If the goal of Canada is to change the energy sector or to phase out its current existence, it would be wise that Trudeau at the very least finds a way to attract capital to Canada.

Because the U.S is going to go through a market correction, in general, the world will bailout the U.S dollar, Canada, we’re a different story, our banks are pretty good, but the Canadian consumer is drowning in debt, while at the same time losing their jobs, getting lower-paying part-time jobs with an ever-increasing cost of living. Trudeau’s Liberals have been able to skew the numbers by growing the public sector, well during an economic downturn when people need the public sector the most, Canada’s public sector will force the Bank of Canada’s hand.

I remind the reader Trudeau is running a deficit, it’s not like Trudeau grew the public sector while shrinking the deficit, Trudeau grew the deficit with borrowed money. Jason Kenney has already paved the grown work to take Alberta off the Canadian Pension Plan, this will be a devastating blow to eastern Canada if this happens With that said, below is a CBC article with a tamed version of what’s happening in Alberta.

‘It just feels pretty dire’: What it’s like for young Alberta men facing a 20% unemployment rate | CBC

Interesting times ahead!
