If Alberta leaves Canada they leave with a surplus: Wexit co-founder wants Alberta to become part of the U.S. – August 30, 2020,

If the mainstream media is the microphone for the Wexit grassroots movement, I would say at the moment, they don’t seem very serious. Trump is the only reason why America is no longer signed onto the Paris Accord, Trump is the main reason the U.S economy is booming even during COVID-19, but the most America will get out of Trump is 8 years, I personally think Ted Cruz might get a 4 year run after Trump, but there are no guarantees that the Green New Deal won’t happen in America.

Suppose the next few years are filled with storms and the mainstream media in the U.S is able to sell the public on these storms being the result of Global Warming, Climate Change, or some other scam the Liberal-Democrats will come up with in the future.

That alone could put Alberta in a worse situation then than they’re in right now. I thought Alberta separatism was good to move, but I personally think Alberta becoming a U.S State is short-sighted and rather boneheaded. Economics isn’t the only reason to want separation, I often write favorably of the Swiss people not because of their economics but because of their government structure.

Switzerland is landlocked but their market is Open

If the article below is a representation of Wexit or the Alberta USA Foundation, I would have to say that I now see why Quebec separatists are laughing at Albertans. Sorry, Alberta, it’s not all about the money or the oil, it’s also not about selling yourself short to the most bankrupt nation in human history, when building a nation, you have to imagine what that nation is supposed to look like.

If your thought process is merely we want pipelines and we’ll prostitute ourselves to America to get those pipelines, it really makes that movement seem a bit silly. I can tell that Alberta being landlocked scares the crap out of a lot of Albertan separatists, and this to me, shows a lack of knowledge as to what it takes to run a successful province or a successful nation.

In Switzerland as an example, their equivalent to a municipality plays a huge role in how their Federal government operates when it comes to trade, you might not think of the government as that big a deal, but its role in a country is huge, because when building a country you have to be able to look far into the future.

A radical will show up in your country one way or another and the real question is how do you limit the destruction a radical can make to society? In Switzerland, their municipal governments have most of the power so, in these cantons, it’s essentially a nation within a nation within a nation, no broad consolidation of power.

In Canada and the U.S, the Federal government plays a huge role in our lives and this obviously leads to Federal Government over-reach which can destroy entire industries. The Tobacco industry as an example was killed by the federal government. I say this because the U.S Federal government could kill the tar sands also. Trump isn’t a King or an emperor, we’re not even sure he’ll win the 2020 election and Americans like radical change, America has a history of radical change a predominantly white country made a Black man the president just a few years ago.

The American voter followed that up by hiring a real estate mogul who was also a reality star? During the good times and the bad, the American voter has shown the world that they’re not afraid to give a radical idea a try. So if Wexiteers are want to sell themselves short by being a U.S State that’s on them, but be warned as bad as things are in Canada now, things could get a whole lot worse in America.

An independent Alberta isn’t that bad of an idea, but when you’re willing to sell yourselves short, it really makes Wexit seem a little silly to me!
