When you’re creating a tax system you have to give CONSUMERS a break somewhere. Because Canada has a strong Union culture, Canadians are hit with all sorts of tariffs which raises our cost of living and puts the Canadian government in a position in which they devalue the Canadian dollar to pay for Welfare spending.
Well, Canada appears to want to embrace the European method of taxation which is fine if our economy mirrored Scandinavian countries like Switzerland, Sweden, or even Germany who finance their welfare with regressive taxation. Excluding Germany, a lot of Scandinavian countries have a PRO-BUSINESS economy and it’s their retail consumers who pay for their Welfare State, if you were t go to Scandinavian countries in Europe, it might shock you the number of SMALL BUSINESSES they have.
They have so many small businesses that getting rid of the FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE was no a brainer. In Canada, we pay high-income taxes and we also pay high sales taxes and because of equalization payments, Conservative Premiers are in no-win situations, being fiscally conservative in Canada works to your detriment and what I keep having to point out is that Canda is going to have a CASH-FLOW crisis.
The article a point to below, points out that Canada lost at least $247M in unpaid taxes on foreign digital services and products last year? So yeah, how much money was Justin Trudeau going to give out to WE charity? I could have sworn it was in the billions? So, Canada thinks that making foreigners charge taxes on our behalf is going to end well? Sure why not, go ahead and destroy the Canadian economy some more!
