Most People Don’t Understand That Global Economy is in Deflationary Cycle, which is redistributing money to Government preferred industries – why Canada can’t seem to get anything done – February 22, 2021,
When ‘Progressive’ or socialist politicians create laws that lead to financial and social hardships, nobody ever revisits those bad policies, in fact, what tends to happen is that those bad progressive policies are soon etched in stone and the mere thought of austerity measures becomes a relic of past.
Conservatives in Australia supported their dying mainstream media by supporting a law that would force Facebook to pay to publish Australian news, I don’t know the exact law itself, I only skimmed through it, but Facebook has banned Australians from using their platform. Because the law really is that stupid.
Now, I’m a full believer that the 2020 U.S Federal Election was stolen from Donald Trump, but I blame Trump more than I blame Twitter, Facebook, or Google. Even after Twitter became hostile towards him, Trump kept using Twitter, like it or not that was a choice of is, during the heights of Trump’s powers he allowed Twitter to take him out, I would have left Twitter the moment they became hostile towards me.
Once I know I have an enemy, I’m not going to KNOWINGLY use their services, so although Australian conservatives felt as though they got a victory against social media, I’d consider it a Pyrrhic victory because they’ve given their dying media more reasons to be inefficient.
Now, had the world been in a Gold Standard everything you see today would be in a deflationary cycle, even with fiat money, there is deflation, the only place where you find inflation are industries where the governments’ influence is strong. Example housing prices, housing prices in Canada revolve around the Bank of Canada and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation(CMHC).
Now some Canadians will say their house prices haven’t increased much, yes that’s because the value of their homes had Canada been on a Gold Standard would have been deflating. What’s keeping the housing market in Canada afloat are artificially low-interest rates and Canadian government-enforced mortgage insurances.
Had the government not been involved in Canada’s housing market, our entire economy and way of thinking would be different. But you see the mere thought of getting rid of government-controlled mortgage insurance isn’t a relevant topic today, nor is raising interest rates at Canadas’ central bank.
Things are different now and although Canada is getting progressively worse, the Novel by George Orwell ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four’ couldn’t be more relevant because if you read the article below clearly Tristin Hopper knows exactly what’s going on, but he has to frame his argument in a manner that is socially responsible by today’s standards.
You don’t want to trigger the Political Left, right? Because they’re more aggressive and more destructive than people on the Political Right could ever be. We are Conservative, we’re orderly, we love debating, so as the Left continues to rewrite history, austerity measures become an afterthought a relic from the past not worthy of revisiting, the government isn’t too big the problem are those greedy productive Conservative people making our standard of living better and not paying their fair share, right?
I should be allowed to get a Universal Basic Income, right? Why can’t the government stop these wealthy fossil fuel people from making profits? right. Because I’m on welfare and not paying the income tax, I don’t mind paying more taxes and higher prices for things after all if prices get too high I can vote for a politician who will impose strict price controls? right.
When people on the Right stop pushing back and start writing and talking in the manner Leftist Progressives want them to communicate in, that’s when the Conservatives become part of the problem. The article below written by Tristin Hopper is in my opinion the perfect example of ‘milquetoast conservatism’. To those of you not familiar with Caspar Milquetoast Google it! unless of course, you’re in Australia, use whatever search method you and your government have decided is best!
I’m not laughing at Australia either, because Canada’s government is just as stupid and it wouldn’t surprise me if the Canadian government eventually does the same thing, which oddly enough has similar results as the Chinese Communist Party, who have an entire police force dedicated to monitoring what’s published on their internet.
The world is in a deflationary cycle, deflation with historic debt is a recipe for disaster, but you see when most people think of stimulus and money printing, they don’t imagine the dollars that are being destroyed, because in case people don’t know the commercial banks only want guaranteed debt repayments for their BALANCE SHEETS. The money itself doesn’t help the commercial banks, it’s the access to the liquidity that helps retail banks and if you can’t comprehend retail banking, you won’t understand the deflationary debt cycle we’re living in.
The Central banks don’t print money to everyday people, the retail banks are in charge of the distribution and the game that’s happening in case people aren’t paying attention is that the commercial banks don’t want to be held responsible for the next economic crash and therefore anytime the Central banks provide commercial banks with liquidity, the SMART commercial banks will only lend to industries who are approved by government standards to be bailed out during an economic downturn(example: the residential real estate market).
So in Canada as an example, Justin Trudeau has to print money in the form of cheques to stimulate the economy, but you see this is also making the trade deficit in Canada even worse as more and more Canadians become unproductive. Now, when the bottom falls from under the Canadian dollar, what I’m writing here will make more sense, but for now, what we get are milquetoast conservatives who dare not speak badly of their government!
