Peter Schiff Nailed This: Colorado forced companies to disclose salaries on job listings, now some companies won’t hire workers – June 19, 2021,
There are certain topics that I don’t know about, and it’s because of other freedom fighters that learn about particular things. When it comes to the topic of the gender pay gap I distinctly remember Peter Schiff talking about a Colorado law and how employers would react to it.
Well, it’s already happening, I’m sure when Peter Schiff reads about what’s happening in Colorado he’s going to do a podcast on the subject, so I don’t even want to paraphrase what he said, you can follow him for yourself. As most of us on the Political Right know, with every government action there’s a private sector reaction.
Leftists tend to forget what a free market is, nobody wants to be a slave, employees don’t want to be slaves and neither do private business owners. We all know the gender pay gap is a scam, women, in general, don’t like doing certain jobs and even when they get involved with male-dominated jobs, most women will take advantage of all the available sick days, loopholes, and government benefits, furthermore most women typically won’t do any overtime or do what’s necessary to get ahead.
Now, let’s be clear, there are women who do jobs just as good or better than men but these women are not the MAJORITY, they’re the minority. So if a politician were to average out the pay of men and women of course men are going to make more money, it’s not like when these experts do these calculations, they’re even considering the hourly pay scale, no in most instances the calculations are based on averages.
So if women are working fewer hours they’re going to on AVERAGE get paid less pay. The mainstream media is often the worst when reporting the gender pay gap numbers, often intentionally misleading the public, by quoting specific statistics and ignoring the statistics that would give a contrarian view of the topic.
But because democracy is all about redistributing wealth, who cares about the facts right? Let’s burden the private sector with a new law that requires employers to pay women an inflated wage so that those government averages reflect the current politicians stated objective.
The problem is that politicians don’t have to balance a checkbook, the private sector does. A private business can’t run to the Federal government or the federal reserve and demand the Fed print money to cover its shortfall, if a private business isn’t profitable that private business will go bankrupt.
So what tends to happen whenever the government creates a stupid law is that the private business will either leave the city, state or country or the private business owner will refuse to grow. Remember these private business owners have wives, husbands, children, and general debt obligations of their own, if the private business owner goes bankrupt nobody will care.
The government will simply create another law to get elected, this is why I think it’s stupid whenever private businesses entertain these stupid government ideas. If you’re in business, once the government shits on you, shit on them, you don’t even have to say anything, if the government is going to expropriate your business let the voters dumb enough to fall for this nonsense learn things the hard way.
People forget why Venezuela ended up in the situation it’s in now, whenever Hugo Chávez had the idea on who to blame his shortcomings on, the Venezuelan private sector reacted by LEAVING the country and taking their talents with them.
If people wonder why there was a toilet paper shortage when the pandemic hit, it’s because most people saw what happened to Venezuela, and being that most people don’t understand the economics of Venezuela and that Venezuela has to IMPORT toilet paper and tampons, most people assumed what happened in Venezuela was going to happen in America.
When the private manufacturing business owners left Venezuela this inevitably made the Venezuelan economy dependent on IMPORTS, once the Venezuelan bolivar fiat currency lost its purchasing power, the private sector businesses that Hugo Chávez chased away left Nicolás Maduro to clean up the mess. Hugo Chávez didn’t only expropriate retail stores, he took over a lot of manufacturing businesses also and because one private business is often reliant on another private business, this in effect had a dominion effect on the Venezuelan economy.
Making matters worse, politicians are nothing more than salespeople with fancy titles, most politicians don’t know anything about business and even if they do, they’ll often have a limited scope. Nicolás Maduro had no clue how to fix Venezuela’s economic problem. Leftists don’t understand basic economics, Leftists see a flourishing society and don’t imagine its fragility, Leftist imagine that greed and NOT FREEDOM are the driving forces of an economy.
So Leftist politicians(which again are nothing more than salespeople with fancy titles) will often create laws they assume only have small financial consequences and when the private sector reacts in a manner the Leftist doesn’t comprehend, the Leftist will assume that the Private business owner is simply being cheap or greedy.
Leftists often believe that the politicians and the voters are smart, I mean come on when has the majority ever gotten things wrong?
Anyway, enough of my commentary, you can read the story for yourself below.
