Mainstream Media Ratings are Cratering: U.S. Capitol Insurrection Story losing its luster – July 7, 2021,
When most people read or hear the words “Insurrection” what they imagine is mass violence, mass destruction, and a day as memorable as 9/11 in which most INNOCENT private citizens are killed because of some political ideology.
That’s not what happened at the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, no politicians were hurt, there’s was little to no violence, and compared to what most people see on video in America every single day, the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol was a dud of a media story when people who cared to research actually saw the insurrection for what it was, the probably got bored watching it.
If you were to watch the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol you might fall asleep, the only thing exciting about it was where it happened and the mere fact that the police in many ways stood down. a peaceful protest that gets out of control is almost normal in America, With countless stories of statues being torn down, government buildings being attacked, I think people are becoming numb to the idea.
Furthermore, because America is still per capita the most entrepreneurial country on earth, private businesses being burning down actually terrifies Americans more than Government buildings being attacked. Because after all, it’s a government building it doesn’t provide any real service to Americans, it doesn’t provide shelter or security for the average American? It’s a freaking government building with historic significance, for expendable people Americans grant special privileges. It’s a building the average American won’t visit in their lifetime
The Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol is a story the media has to sell to Americans as something important and it’s a hard sell, because there was little to no violence and furthermore there was no follow-up to it, meaning that it wasn’t like the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol was followed up by repeat attacks, it happened once people got arrested and it hasn’t happened since?
On the flip side, the increase in violence happening in many American cities which are often led by Democrats has shown NO signs of cooling down. You see if Democrat cities were peaceful and America, in general, didn’t have to worry about violence derived from bad Left-Wing ideas, maybe this story would have some luster, but humans have more important things to worry about right now like I don’t know surviving, not everyone qualifies for this free money Joe Biden sending out, homelessness is still a problem for many Americans.
In general, most people don’t care too much about politicians, why people cared about JFK being shot as an example was the controversy surrounding it. People wanted to know how and why it happened etc. Ronald Reagan was shot, most people don’t know, nor do they care, because there’s no mystery to what happened, just like there’s no mystery to The Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
The media story I point to below is an instance of the media reaching to get some attention and in the story, they’re attempting to blame the CORPORATIST Private sector, who at the end of the day is looking out for its bottom line and the truth is based on the numbers, nobody cares about the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
I assume if the mainstream media makes their fellow corporatists care and Joe Biden passes a new regulation or something, maybe this will gain some traction, but this period in history is definitely going to be a period in which a lot of people remember as a period in which the mainstream media lost their credibility and became part of the corporatist problem.
Sure of course there will be the Brownshirts who fall in line and do as their masters advise, this will always be the majority, but the braindead are only worthy of acknowledgment when they opt to use violence against peaceful human beings. George Orwell who wasn’t a Conservative warned many of us that this would happen in his novel Nineteen Eighty-Four.
