The Welfare State Turns on Australians: The Rising Tide of an Economic Collapse – September 20, 2021
When the welfare state does things you like, you tend not to care, it’s only when the welfare state comes after you directly that you start to comprehend the monster you’ve created. Liberty is been under attack for a very long time, but in the past people were willing to give up their liberties and freedoms for a government handout, well for some in Australia they’re beginning to see the social and economic consequences of the Welfare State.
Because most countries in the Western World have given their various levels of government unthinkable powers of their lives, a lot of people are shocked by government overreach, but as many of us who attempted to do business in Australia have known for a long time, government over-reach in Australia has been the norm.
I’m Canadian and I was shocked by the number of regulations there are on businesses operating in Australia, now you might be saying to yourself, what’s the big deal? We have to regulate businesses for “insert reason reason” what does this have to do with lockdowns? It has to do with lockdowns because excessive regulations almost force the private sector to merge with the government and this ultimately leads to laws not only being written but people coming to expect the government will solve all problems.
Although many are n the streets, a whole lot more Australians are at home, possibly saying to themselves “what’s the big deal” stay home and wait for the government to tell us what to do next. Totalitarian rule happens in increments and the brainwashing also happens in increments, for most they saw and possibly even demanded the government do more, because many have to believe that the government owns their soul, furthermore this is of course the problem with atheism is that if people don’t replace God with Liberty, they’ll usually replace God with big government.
Anyway, the global economic collapse appears to be coming, but before it arrives, expect that people will double down on dumb ideas, typically it takes until people start seeing a serious decline in their standard of living in comparison to freer nations before calls for change grow.
So, in case you’re not paying attention, most western governments are bankrupt and fiat money has been weaponized. Western Governments are broke, everyone knows it, but the real question is, what are people going to do about it?
