If you were to ask me my thoughts on Quebec? In my opinion, Quebec is headed for a depression, Quebec has been a business person’s nightmare for a very long time and the Quebec government has added on even more regulations to its economy. Vaccines passports are normalized in Quebec and obviously because the idiots in charge of running Quebec’s economy drew a line in the sand for the medical professionals to obey their vaccines mandates, they now have labor shortages in an economy that was over-regulated before the pandemic.

It sounds like a nightmare to me, and I guess only time will tell how the Quebec economy holds up in 2022. Now, alcohol and cannabis is usually how most people unwind, so I’m not sure if delivery is an option in Quebec, but deliveries also come with an additional charge, which equates to more money being spent on fewer goods and services, which equates to economic deflation.

Maybe there are enough Quebecers with Vaccine passports that this doesn’t become much of an issue, but if this additional authoritarian measure by the Quebec government backfires, a day of reckoning might be on the horizon for the Quebec economy. Fiat money can’t prevent shortage problems, even if the government can pay you stay home, it can’t hide a lack of productivity in the real economy.
