When Joe Biden prematurely withdrew troops from Afghanistan, blaming the Trump administration for his botched withdrawal, Biden was clearly and visibly uncomfortable, because his incompetence costs American soldiers their lives. I want to put in perspective that Joe Biden’s quick withdrawal which was mostly done for political reasons, was the first bad move leading to his poll numbers taking a nosedive.
Fast forward to the Russian conflict in Ukraine, and the inferior Ukrainian forces, have stood up to Putin, killing between 7000-1000 Russian soldiers. The Russian Federation is rather secretive with their information, so nobody knows the exact numbers, but even 7000 soldiers in less than 60 days, is a ridiculously high number, especially when you’re the aggressor. Chicago has always been known for violence, well Chicago’s deadliest year remains at 1970 when there were 974 homicides. It would take over 7 years of Chicago repeating its deadliest year number to reach 7000 deaths.
Ukraine did this to Russia in less than 60 days, with a Rag-Tag military? I hear the argument that Russia could have used Nukes, yes sure Russia could use Nukes, but what purpose would that serve? Using Nukes would make Ukraine harder to occupy. When you’re the aggressor and you use Nukes, it’s not like that will be the end of the conflict, in fact using Nukes would radicalize Russia’s enemies, with a sense of desperation.
Once you get into these war games, the world is not a pretty place. If I genuinely feel like any day, you will Nuke me because you’ve attempted to do it before, that’s when people start throwing any and everything at you. Even when the U.S Nuked Japan, it didn’t take Japan long to get back to normal. In fact, many argue that the U.S nuking Japan had little impact, many argue it was the Russian army that posed the biggest threat to Japan.
Russia had to stockpile Nukes to show its strength, sure one Nuke is bad enough, but it doesn’t guarantee the end of a conflict, which is why nobody wants to use the nuclear option. Putin has a problem with all of these dead soldiers coming home to Russia.
It’s for this reason, that I’d assume he’s open to negotiation talks? As we know Oil trades on the futures markets, I personally will not be selling my oil holdings because of this recent news, because if you ask me these lower prices are temporary, but the mere thought of peace talks has the price of oil retreating.

Everyone wants peace, but the actual reasoning for peace talks might be because of the amount of death Putin has caused for this invasion. Again 13 U.S soldiers died because of Joe Biden’s incompetence, low estimates of 7000 Russian soldiers died because of Putin’s incompetence, there is no way, Russia thought it would take this long to capture the parts of Ukraine it intended to annex. If Russians genuinely believed this war would be as difficult as it’s proven to be, they would have invaded Ukraine more strategically.
Hopefully, there is a peaceful resolution, but this is one of the reasons why I don’t like central planners. Central planners from Western governments financed this war, with their green energy redistribution schemes, which enriched Russia. Because of all the regulations on Western economies, Russia has slowly become a good place to invest, as has China.
Socialism and Communism are becoming words that no longer matter, because a lot of Western countries, or becoming more market UNFRIENDLY than many of these socialist and communist regions. The entire country of Germany became dependent on Russia, when the former President pointed that out, German leaders at the time laughed at him.
A few years, later, Russia invades Ukraine, and to save face, a lot of progressive governments are doubling down on their commitment to their green energy agenda, imagining that this Russia-Ukraine conflict is merely a bump in the road, to a zero-carbon future. This is what central planners do and it’s why a lot of wars and conflicts occur. A group of central planners imagines that they know what’s best for ALL of humanity, they act on it and destroy INDIVIDUALS and their lives in the process. It’s very sad and the only way I know how to reverse this trend is to educate in the only way I know-how.
