I’ve stated this in several instances, and I’ll write it again: Canada has some of the DUMBEST socialists in the Western world. The only reason our socialists get away with their buffoonish socialist policies is that Canada shares a border with the United States.
The U.S. currently has the best economy in the world, so a lot of the stupidity that exists in the Canadian economy remains solvent. Giving credit where it’s due, Canada’s PRIVATE financial and PRIVATE insurance sectors are well-capitalized and profitable.
Mind you, this is happening primarily because Canadian consumers are known TO PAY THEIR BILLS ON TIME. One of the fears I have with mass migration is that a lot of these new arrivals own a lot of property, and Canada hasn’t been through a financial crisis.
With that said, Justin Trudeau, excessive regulations, his spending and the carbon tax, are driving up the cost of living and the cost of doing business, and this is causing a lot of PRICING issues in multiple sectors in the Canadian economy which are beneficiaries of PRICE CONTROLS.
I really don’t have the time to go through the madness, that is, the Fish, Food and Allied Workers Union(FFAW). When I read about this socialist crap, I get sick to my stomach.
I remember former CBC sports commentator Don Cherry asking why Canadian hockey fans are booing the Americans and cheering for the Russians. This is because a lot of Canadians are closely aligned with the economic policies of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics(USSR).
All of these price controls and monopolistic regulations reward a few and deny able-bodied, hard-working men the ability to make a living. What the government and the Labor Unions are doing has nothing to do with overfishing and everything to do with PRICE CONTROLS.
This is the same reason why I’m silent on the Quebec Farmers protests, you’ll notice that mainstream media for the most part is SILENT in regards to both the N.L protests and the Quebec Farmers protests, it’s because all of these MONOPOLIES revolve around LABOUR UNIONS, Price controls and ENTITLEMENTS.
I don’t think Canadians comprehend how damaging the CRTC is because this is where, as a respected, unbiased “journalist” in Canada, you have to be careful how you approach these SOCIALIST folks.

Some of these socialists might vote for Trudeau, others might vote for Poilievre, and you, as a “journalist,” have to be careful about being HONEST about talking about what the root cause of this madness is all about.

For most commonsense people in Canada, all you need to say is “UNIFOR” and we know exactly what’s going on. With that said, Unifor in some situations has the ability to swing an election, when Andrew Scheer won the Popular vote against Trudeau, but Trudeau won the election, Unifor, made sure it voiced it’s anti-Andrew Scheer voice online and to it’s members.
Now, if you’re the current leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Pierre Poilievre, this is why you’re keeping your messaging short and straight to the point.
Without getting into the specifics of this madness, price controls in Canada are being undermined as the cost of living rises via Justin Trudeau’s carbon taxes as well as his government approach to the overall economy.
Price Controls are based on INFLATION TARGETS, and the problem with the carbon tax is that inflation is a lot higher than it’s being reported, but what’s happening on the ground level is that people are PURCHASING FEWER stuff because their Canadian dollars are losing their purchasing power.
You combine this with GOVERNMENT LEVERS that can RESTRICT supply to raise prices, and you get this Fishermen problem in Newfoundland. For the record, I’m giving you the simplistic version, one of the reasons I HATE socialism is that the bureaucracy creates CONFUSION, and depending on if you’re a beneficiary or if these PRICE CONTROLS and other regulations are being used to strip you of your right to work, either way, you’re screwed.

The federal public service, now at 357,247 employees, is nearly 40 per cent larger than it was in 2015, when the Liberals took power, when it counted 257,034 employees.
These price controls and other regulations, similar to ESG, have absolutely NOTHING to do with the environment. You’re talking about livelihoods here, and laws already exist not to fish; these socialists are concerned with PROFITS. Supply management is, and price control schemes are all over Canada and in so many different sectors that it’s hard to keep count.

There were clear signs for people like myself that Justin Trudeau was an economic and financial IDIOT, but obviously the average Canadian who voted for him in 2015, didn’t see things that, way and why should they, they’ve been using BIG GOVERNMENT socialism to enrich themselves for years, so much so that they forgot that socialism requires COMPOTENT management over the economy.

I’m not a fan of Chretien’s Liberals, but I don’t use the words INCOMPOTENT when I describe Jean Chretien or Paul Martin; Justin Trudeau is INCOMPOTENT, and Atlantic Canada voted for incompetence in record numbers, so forgive him if I’m resigned to the reality that a stubborn an immature, incompetent, Child in a grown-up’s body named Justin Trudeau, who imagines he’s saving the world will in all likelihood destroy the lives of the people VOTED to make him Prime Minister.
