Wait a minute: CBC Telling Canadians how Bankrupt Canada Post is? White Collar Workers at the CBC Cost Way more Than Canada Post – May 24, 2024

Posted on May 24, 2024May 24, 2024 by RichInWriters

Canada Post lost $3 Billion in 6 years, the CBC lost $4 billion in 3 years and provided absolutely no service of value to Canadians, the CBC should not be talking about how much money Canada Post is losing.

Although I cringe whenever I see Canada Post will deliver a Parcel to my house, at least these blue collar workers do SOMETHING to earn their paycheck, what has CBC done for Canada, except for be a drain on taxpayers.

The CBC received more than $1.2 billion from taxpayers in 2021. Since the beginning of 2015, the CBC’s annual funding from taxpayers has increased by more than $203 million, or 20 per cent, according to its annual reports. The CBC should be defunded.

It’s a waste of money to pay $1.2 billion per year to this media organization and now the government is set to hand it even more.Defund the CBC

There’s no value that CBC offers ENGLISH SPEAKING Canadians, which means at best they should only be considered for Quebec. By the way, Quebec’s shortfalls has little to do with the language barrier and everything to do with fiscal mismanagement.

Government funding accounts for approximately 70 per cent of CBC/Radio-Canada’s budget, while the remainder of its funding comes from self-generated revenue including advertising. According to its annual reports, CBC/Radio-Canada received $1.24 billion in federal funds in 2022 and $1.39 billion in 2021

Although Canada Post is looking to change “mail delivery” the problem is clearly their PARCEL delivery, which is the main reason they’re losing market share. This is something USPS changed a long time ago, because unlike Canada Post, the United States Postal Service has to answer to consumer demand. Crown Corporations do not have to answer to consumers, because they’ve MONOPOLIZED an entire industry, the same problem Canada Post has, CMHC has.
