Socialism especially when Quebecers fled their Socialist “civil code” Shithole to Ontario, has had a devastating impact on Ontario politics; making matters worse, most of the people immigrating to Canada end up in Ontario.
As an Ontarian, I point the blame squarely on us; even our conservatives sound socialist; if you want to win politically in Toronto, you have to sound “progressive,” and in practice, progressive-ism is nothing more than assisting the public sector to collect larger paychecks.
The climate has ALWAYS been changing; however, political climate change revolves around giving public servants larger paychecks and wealth redistribution schemes to keep far-left politicians in power, as their goal is to pay voters to vote for them.
Infrastructure maintenance is HARD WORK, and it becomes more expensive when the GOVERNMENT at various levels gives white-collar public servants who DO NOTHING more significant paychecks.
We still have thousands of public servants WORKING FROM HOME? Imagine you’re the blue-collar worker doing all the manual labor, getting the same paycheck as a GOVERNMENT employee working in their pajamas.
Now, these FLASH FLOODS are, for the most part, due to issues that were supposed to be addressed DECADES ago; the former mayor of Toronto attempted to create a new tax to fix the Don Valley problem.
Everyone in Toronto knows about this problem; however, the new Far-Left wacko Socialist mayor wants to spend that money on renaming Dundas Square, and that’s a TOP priority for her.
Because of low voter turnout, Toronto’s far-left wacko mayor won in a LANDSLIDE, and these types of things have been happening in Ontario for DECADES now. Japan for example, has aN EARTHQUAKE problem, so the Japanese government PRIORITIZES INFRASTRUCTURE spending.
So, if you visited Japan, you’d only know about the country’s challenges if you went there during a period when there was an earthquake or Typhoon. If the climate is changing, don’t talk about it, don’t raise taxes to fatten WHITE COLLAR public sector paychecks, don’t spend millions of dollars renaming streets, DON’T create a CARBON TAX only to raise the wages of the public sector workforce, and buy votes, DO SOMETHING about the supposed CLIMATE Change PROBLEM.
Toronto was a STUPID place to build a major city, as was New York City; humans build cities in a lot of dumb places; in Northern Africa and certain parts of Europe, entire cities have been submerged for CENTURIES because humans build things in stupid places.
In modern times, at the very least, we have the OPPORTUNITY to correct these mistakes, but that’s unlikely because we have idiot voters who inevitably will vote for idiot politicians to “lead” them.
Billy Bishop Airport, which is located on the Toronto Islands minutes from downtown, said its pedestrian tunnel had been closed due to flooding, with passengers directed to take the ferry over to the airport. The airport said some flights had been affected and urged passengers to check their flight status with their airlines.

If you want to build tunnels on islands, you’d better be prepared to spend money on INFRUSTRUTURE instead of wasting money on renaming streets. How dumb are you, people?
