Did Current U.S. President Donald Trump Just Kill Your Dropshipping Business?
Starting on May 2, 2025 — De Minimis Exemption DEAD
As a Christian anarcho-capitalist, I’ve come to the conclusion that without God, humans will do silly things. Donald Trump is trying to “quick fix” everything, and in his attempt to do so, he might be overlooking a few things.
First off, a lot of U.S. shops are closing—or have already closed—because of domestic U.S. policy, mostly at the state level. Secondly, if Trump supports cradle-to-grave welfare—by that I mean Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid—then he believes in price controls, or forcing future generations to fund current entitlements. That means he supports domestic inflationary pricing schemes.
Now, I understand that the forex markets bail out America all the time. But the forex markets do this because when they throw money at the U.S. economy, they leave with a profit. This includes the benefits U.S. consumers get from dropshipping and using Chinese online retailers like Temu, AliExpress, etc.
If you’re unaware, the de minimis policy exempts tariffs as long as the item is worth less than $800.
Well, Trump wants to kill the goose that lays golden eggs for U.S. consumers—even if those consumers don’t know it’s happening.
The de minimis policy exempts packages worth less than $800 from China from U.S. taxes. Starting on May 2, the policy will change. Packages will be subject to a $100 tax per parcel beginning on May 2, and a $200 tax per parcel beginning on June 1.
A lot of U.S. consumers are buying from dropshippers or middlemen without even knowing it. Sure, Chinese vendors have already shifted operations to Mexico, but what this also means for U.S. consumers is higher shipping costs. And this will decimate a lot of U.S. dropshippers as they won’t have access, for example, to the Mexican market.
Trump is trying to get China to yield. Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t. But if it doesn’t work, U.S. consumers are going to feel the pinch immediately—because a lot of dropshippers, if this policy holds, will have no alternative.
I’m not sure people understand how huge this is.
With that said, I’ll be waiting to see how this unfolds.
Dropshipping being a middle man sucks–It’s time to mak the shift
CodeFast The Work From Home BUSINESS vs. Being a digital slave
The rise of ChatGPT and advanced AI tools has permanently transformed the online world. In my view, if you’re looking for a smarter, faster path forward, to arning an sustainable income online I highly recommend exploring the CodeFast program. Why? Because AI has empowered everyday people to become creators—to code, build, and launch their own consulting businesses without depending on expensive middlemen.
Most coding bootcamps and training programs are built to turn you into an employee. But the future isn’t about working for someone else—it’s about private contracting, high-ticket consulting, and digital independence.
The so-called “guru era” isn’t quite over, but it’s evolving. People are no longer buying into vague secrets and hyped-up stories. They want structure, clarity, and results—without the fluff. That’s exactly what CodeFast delivers: a streamlined way to gain real-world skills and take control of your own income.
If you’re not already profitable or don’t have at least a basic grasp of tech or automation, you risk becoming overly dependent on a single agency for ongoing success. In today’s AI-powered world, that’s a dangerous position to be in.
