South Africa today is not apartheid in reverse. It’s the hard, necessary, work of repair, justice, and democracy trying to right what was very wrong for more than 300 years. Ali Velshi urges America not to turn that into a weapon and to not borrow someone else’s history to fight our own culture wars. Because if we care about truth, we have to care about all of it – even when it doesn’t fit the narrative we’re trying to sell.
