So, we’ve been writing about this very topic for years—and it’s finally hitting Western women like a ton of bricks.
Obviously, on this blog we focus on economics, and yes—dating is an economic issue.
If you’re a man or woman and you don’t think about economics when you date, then I assume your focus is purely on sex—which is not a solid foundation for a relationship.
When you’re a man, life can be very basic if you want it to be. For example, prostitution is the oldest profession in the world—and it’s mentioned many times in the Bible. One of the problems the modern Christian church has is the number of out-of-touch pastors who don’t give believers the full story of what Scripture actually says.
Why bring up prostitution in this post?
Because if a man understands basic economics, he realizes that women can become liabilities when approached with the wrong motives.
If a man’s primary goal is sex, he’s playing the game wrong. In this age, if he inconveniences himself just to date a woman for sex, he’s being foolish.
Run the numbers: he’d be better off buying a night’s company than getting trapped in perpetual child support or alimony with someone he never intended to build a life with.
The Legal and Economic Reality
The legal system in most Western nations is skewed toward benefiting women, and ironically this has hurt women more than helped them. The more political power women have gained, the more bankrupt Western nations have become—because politics now leans toward emotional spending and entitlement.
In much of the developing world, men view women through a more economic lens—as responsibilities rather than guaranteed assets. That’s one reason countries like India have historically practiced arranged marriages: the family ensures economic balance before romance enters the equation.
Crime, Safety, and Liability
It’s also interesting that many Western women keep supporting political candidates who endorse “catch and release” justice—where criminals are arrested and released the same day.
Most criminals think twice before robbing a man, but robbing a woman is easier. In those moments, her partner is expected to be “the man,” to defend her. This reality turns some women into liabilities because men instinctively calculate the physical, legal, and emotional risks tied to protecting them—especially when courts already favor women.
False Accusations and Emotional Risk
Women lie too. Say the wrong thing to the wrong woman, and a man might find himself facing an assault charge or harassment accusation. Even if proven false, it wastes time, money, and peace of mind.
Then there’s the uncomfortable truth that many women are drawn to aggressive men—the kind who often leave them as single mothers. Many responsible men assume that a “pretty girl” might already have a child from a previous relationship and fear being forced to pay child support for another man’s child.
Raising stepchildren who may resent you after ten years of support is a nightmare no man wants.
Why Men Are Looking Abroad
Women can still find partners easily, but good men are becoming extremely selective.
Many are now exploring international dating, using introductions services such as
A Foreign Affair—a platform where women are prescreened and genuinely seeking marriage.
Outside the Western world, women have long adapted to not feeling entitled to a good man.
You’ll notice that on sites like A Foreign Affair, most women take excellent care of themselves. Why? Because they don’t live in countries cushioned by free government welfare.
Most men understand that our welfare states are unsustainable. Prices keep rising, and mature men aren’t going to waste time or money on entitled attitudes. That ship has sailed.
Successful men today—much like Donald Trump in his younger years—don’t limit their options to dating domestically.
Global Shift in Male Behavior
In this international dating world, women outside the West are taught to care for and respect men, which means men with resources are doing their due diligence—whether they date locally or abroad.
Domestic women no longer have free rein over good men in the U.S., Canada, or Europe.
Some people think this is a Gen Z or Millennial trend—it’s not. It’s common sense.
Nightclubs everywhere are dying because men no longer see value in financing a woman’s good time.
Why spend hundreds of dollars only to risk ending up with an angry, entitled partner who might cheat, abuse, or later take you to court?
Faith, Culture, and Values
Historically, Judeo-Christian values worked within a patriarchal structure—and many modern women are eager to destroy that. But when you remove Christianity, you remove the moral anchor of the culture.
What replaces it is secular atheism, which operates on a dog-eat-dog value system.
If you’re an atheist who believes there is no God, you also believe there are no spiritual consequences for your actions. That worldview breeds selfishness, entitlement, and moral decay.
So if you’re a Christian man in 2025, it’s unwise to even talk to women who openly reject faith. Many secular women embrace cancel culture, censorship, and vengeance over forgiveness. From an economic and spiritual perspective, that makes them a liability, not an asset.
