Serious Credit Rating Risk: Mark Carney Is Using Indebted Canadian Taxpayers to Rebuild the Failing Volunteer Carbon Market (ESG), and It’s VERY Expensive (Interest Rate Hikes + Consumer Price Inflation?) — November 9, 2025

Posted on November 9, 2025 by RichInWriters

We won’t waste too much time on this because, at this point, you’d have to be blind not to see what Mark Carney is trying to do.

It’s one thing to gamble with the economy when Canada isn’t drowning in record deficits — but it’s another thing entirely to double down on reckless policy in the middle of a debt crisis.

The Volunteer Carbon Market — Built on Subsidies, Not Reality

You can look up the Volunteer Carbon Market (VCM) yourself, but from a market perspective, it simply doesn’t work without massive government subsidies.

Carbon capture, in particular, is one of the most wasteful and unprofitable technologies ever pushed. Don’t just take my word for it — look it up on YouTube. Even environmental socialists admit it’s inefficient, costly, and ugly in practice. Watching the process is depressing; it’s an industrial eyesore that produces more politics than progress.

Like we’ve said before, Mark Carney is a mascot for Brookfield. He has no real private-sector acumen. What he does understand is how to turn ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives into personal fortune — an Al Gore–style business model, where political influence becomes profit.

If you think Carney can’t be that manipulative, you’re wrong.

A Nation of Atheists: The Spiritual Side of Economic Collapse

Recently, New York City elected an openly socialist mayor, Zohran Mamdani, who promised “free everything” during his campaign. Immediately after winning, he started begging donors for money to pay for it.

That’s what happens when a society abandons God. Atheists, fake Christians, and secular humanists will believe anything they want — because when you reject the Judeo-Christian foundation of Western civilization, you open yourself to every false promise imaginable.

So, when people ask, “If Jesus is so powerful, why would He allow this?” the answer is simple:
Just like ancient Israel, when a nation turns its back on God, chaos follows.

Canada is spiritually and morally hollow — a nation overflowing with atheism, pride, and dependency. What we’re watching now is the predictable collapse of a people who thought they could replace faith with bureaucracy.

Economic Fallout: Credit Downgrade, Inflation, and Interest Rate Shocks

Here’s what’s coming:

  • A likely credit downgrade for Canada
  • Higher interest rates to attract buyers for new government debt
  • Persistent domestic inflation

We’ve written before that we can’t figure out what’s keeping the loonie inflated in foreign exchange markets. The only explanations are (a) credit perception, or (b) that other Western economies look equally bad, so investors see no better alternative.

But make no mistake — Canada’s domestic policy is terrible and has been for years.

In the past, we benefited from weak financial leadership in the United States. That era is over. If the Republicans perform well in next year’s U.S. midterms, expect Canada’s economic weakness to become painfully obvious.

Ironically, the U.S. government shutdown might be helping Donald Trump reduce waste in Washington — trimming fat that Canada refuses to cut. The United States remains the world’s reserve currency, and even if it loses that role, its private economy is far stronger than Canada’s.

A Deflationary Spiral and Forced Austerity Ahead

On paper, Canada now faces a dangerous combination:

  • Rising interest rates
  • Consumer price inflation
  • A deflationary economy that can’t grow

That means bills will be “paid” by printing more money, eroding the value of every dollar Canadians hold. Forced austerity is coming — and it will be politically brutal.

Foreign investors will eventually dump the Canadian dollar, and there will likely be a period where it becomes dirt cheap. That’s the market’s way of punishing arrogance.

Carney and Brookfield only get paid if their ESG monopoly succeeds, so they’ll keep pushing it — no matter how much it costs taxpayers.

Once you understand that, and then look at the polling data favoring Mark Carney, you can see the storm forming on the horizon.

Final Word

Canada is heading for a spiritual, fiscal, and moral reckoning. The numbers don’t lie, and neither does the Word of God.

When a nation worships politicians instead of the Creator, it always ends in ruin.

Consider making Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior today.
He is the only One who can restore truth, liberty, and sound judgment — both in your heart and in your country.
