Mark Carney, Brookfield, the UAE and the Sudan Conflict: How ESG “Green Deals” Are Just Corporate Welfare – and Why Only Jesus Christ Offers Truth – November 21, 2025

Posted on November 21, 2025 by RichInWriters

The Brookfield Delegation Arrived in the UAE One Week Before Carney

On November 13, 2025, just one week before Prime Minister Mark Carney arrived in Abu Dhabi to announce a massive $70-billion investment pledge, a high-ranking Brookfield Corporation delegation — including CEO Bruce Flatt and Board Chairman Frank McKenna — met with UAE leadership.

According to the official report from WAM (Emirates News Agency):

  • Bruce Flatt, CEO of Brookfield Corporation
  • Frank McKenna, Chairman of Brookfield’s Board
  • Several senior executives of Brookfield’s subsidiaries

…met with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to “enhance cooperation” in:

  • Investment
  • Asset management
  • Digital transformation
  • Clean energy
  • Infrastructure

In other words, Brookfield was already positioning itself for massive ESG-aligned investment flows from the UAE before Carney even stepped off the plane.

This matters because Mark Carney — before becoming prime minister — held senior advisory roles connected to Brookfield, and continues to benefit politically from the ESG and climate-finance networks that Brookfield dominates globally.

Placed together, the timeline raises the uncomfortable question:

Is Mark Carney advancing Canada’s interests — or Brookfield’s?

Carney Announces a $70 Billion UAE “Pledge” — But It’s Not a Contract

Carney returned from the UAE announcing:

  • A $70-billion investment pledge,
  • A new investment-protection pact,
  • And major cooperation in critical minerals, AI, energy and logistics.

But nothing about the deal is binding.

It is not a signed contract, not a guaranteed sum, and not tied to clear timelines. It is simply a political announcement, the kind used to generate headlines.

This gives Carney the appearance of a political win, despite no enforceable commitments. It mirrors the old political theatre of Donald Trump’s “historic deals” that made for great news cycles but often delivered nothing concrete.

Except here, there’s an additional layer:

**Brookfield met the UAE’s leadership first. Carney followed.

Brookfield benefits if UAE capital flows into “ESG transition” deals.
Carney benefits politically by promoting ESG cooperation.**

And Canada?
Canada gets PR smoke, no guarantees, and ties to a regime accused of fueling a war in Sudan.

The UAE Is Accused of Supporting Atrocities in Sudan — and Carney Knows This

During the visit, Carney publicly confirmed he discussed Sudan with UAE leadership.

He did not take a moral stance.
He did not condemn the atrocities.

He simply acknowledged “discussing the situation” — even though:

  • The RSF (Rapid Support Forces) — accused of ethnic cleansing and genocide — has been widely reported to receive weapons, supplies and support from the UAE.
  • UN experts, Amnesty, international media and Sudanese officials have repeatedly outlined credible evidence of UAE-backed RSF power in Darfur.
  • Sudan even attempted to bring the UAE to the International Court of Justice over genocide complicity (the case was dismissed on jurisdictional technicalities, not on facts).

Yet Carney announced the largest foreign investment pledge in Canadian history from the same government under global scrutiny for war crimes.

This is what ESG really looks like:
morality outsourced, violence ignored, and “green money” given priority over human life.

ESG and Net Zero – Corporate Welfare Masquerading as Morality

Carney frames everything — the UAE deal, critical minerals, AI initiatives — as part of an ESG-driven “green transformation.”

But ESG and Net Zero are not real markets. They are:

  • Government-mandated systems
  • Propped up by subsidies and regulations
  • Benefiting major asset managers
  • Designed to socialise risk
  • While privatising profit

Brookfield is one of the primary global winners of these schemes.

The UAE has committed billions into large transition and climate funds run by Western asset managers — including Brookfield. Mark Carney, now prime minister, is both:

  • A political champion of ESG, and
  • A former central player in the very private-sector networks that profit from it.

When the Brookfield CEO meets UAE leaders one week before Carney arrives to “secure” a deal, it becomes almost impossible to ignore:

This is corporate welfare — green-washed, morally laundered, and delivered using Canada’s national brand.

Why This Is a Terrible Look for Canada

This is not diplomacy.
This is not leadership.
This is not morality.

This is:

  • Canada legitimizing a foreign government accused of fueling genocide in Sudan.
  • A prime minister amplifying a non-binding investment “pledge” for political optics.
  • A global corporation’s leadership visiting the UAE first, possibly aligning interests privately.
  • ESG used as a moral shield to cover political and corporate self-interest.
  • No direct benefit to ordinary Canadians.
  • A political class chasing green fantasy narratives instead of real economic policy.

Even if Carney is not corrupt, the appearance is undeniable:

  • conflict of interest,
  • ideological blindness,
  • or complete naivety.

And none of those possibilities reflect well on Canada’s leadership.

Why Christians Should Not Put Their Faith in Politicians

The Bible warns repeatedly against relying on human rulers:

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man,
in whom there is no help.” — Psalm 146:3 (KJV)

No prime minister, president or politician can offer truth, justice or salvation.

Politicians will:

  • Make deals that look good on TV
  • Ignore suffering abroad if the cheque is big enough
  • Wrap everything in “green” branding
  • Serve corporate power before people
  • And change their principles based on the polls

Only Jesus Christ provides truth, stability and moral clarity.

Politicians trade in appearances.
Christ deals in reality.

Politicians pursue advantage.
Christ pursues righteousness.

Politicians use nations and people.
Christ saves them.

Something Is Not Right – And You Can Feel It

Between:

  • UAE involvement in Sudan
  • Brookfield’s quiet pre-meeting
  • Carney’s flashy announcement
  • ESG’s corporate-welfare structure
  • And Canada’s moral silence…

…it feels like everything is upside down.

And that’s exactly why you should not place your trust in political leaders — no matter how impressive their résumés are.

If Mark Carney is not corrupt, he looks compromised.
If he is not compromised, he looks naïve.
Either way, the fruit is rotten.

The only foundation that does not shake is Jesus Christ.

Consider making Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour today.
Because in a world of political theatre, corporate greenwashing, and moral compromise,
He is the only One who never changes.
