Rent controls are all over Canada, and that’s only ONE of the price control mechanisms in the housing market, the other serious problem is “property rights”. Canada, obviously not being a Republic equates to all property belonging to the CROWN. The Crown in almost all parts of Canada, gives “tenants” which is a loosely defined word more property rights than landlords.
