Widespread protests under the banner of the “Block Everything” movement have paralyzed the nation, a clear sign that the economic and spiritual foundation of France is under immense strain. The people cry out for relief, but without true repentance and a return to biblical principles, France is hurtling toward either austerity—or collapse. As Christians, we must go deeper than economic analysis. We must see the spiritual decay beneath the surface and recognize what happens to a nation when it rejects Christ and builds its economy on centralized control and secular ideologies.
