How Basic Income Could Create A Whole New Class Of Entrepreneurs
It’s interesting that the writers of this article just ignores why life is so expensive for business people in the first place. I always find it odd when Leftist just gloss over the obvious, why is starting a business so expensive in Canada in the digital age? Why are real estate prices so expensive in Canada in a time when prices should be going down. Why are there so many foreign buyers purchase property in Canada that Canadians can’t afford? Why do people have such a hard time finding jobs, to begin with? What’s the real reason why Ontario small business startups have such a difficult time staying in business?
The answer to all the questions above revolves around Governmental welfares. The root causes of most financial problems in Canada especially when it comes to starting a small business come from the government. What this article written by By Daniel Tencer and Emma Paling is basically saying is that it should be the government’s job fund big corporations whether they’re profitable or not.
“It gave me the confidence to start my own business,” Marinescu said. “When we feel safe, we take more risks.”
On the video, the business owner admits that his business wasn’t profitable until the government stepped in. This is actually the case for a lot of crown corporations in Canada. As an example, without the government, Canada Post wouldn’t be profitable. It’s the protections afforded to Canada Post and the monopolies on shipping that are afforded that allow them to keep competitors at bay. In this story, in particular, you can watch and listen to the story and what the business owners say for themselves. They admit their business wasn’t profitable.

Is it heartless to say a business should be profitable?
When you’re able to enjoy the life many of us in Canada enjoy especially if you’re not in business it’s only right that you’d assume that everybody should be able to enjoy the same standard of life regardless of their life decisions. People make mistakes and the free market is the best teacher, but the free market can also be cruel sometimes and the theme of most leftist is to attach the free market with cruelty.
When Martin Luther King marched for equality, one of the main reasons why his march was so effective is that the Black Americans of that time boycotted white-owned businesses. Most of the white-owned businesses of that time were not profitable, the establishments that were profitable in that era were the government-run establishments which is why MLK had to take his grievance to the highest levels of the U.S Justice system.
By the time it made national news a lot of white-owned establishments nationwide in the United States were suffering financially. Primarily because their business models were flawed and based on a suppressed market which allowed them a monopoly on particular industries. So was it heartless for MLK to say he had a dream of equality based on character? Obviously not, but the truth is on an economic scale most Canadians make their decisions based on their income.
If Canadians assume that they’ll have an unlimited income they’ll make different choices. One of the reasons birthrates has gone down revolves around socialist policies. Paying Peter to pay for Paul, Taking Jane to give to Jill. If Jane makes more money and is more conservative and responsible with her money then Jill, Jane the responsible one will make better life choices.
Jill on the other hand if she’s irresponsible won’t think about the future, Jill might have 5 kids with government income while Jane has 1 kid and works her entire life. Now is that scenario fair Jane? Obviously not, but Leftist want you to believe that it is fair and that we should treat all people the same regardless of their bad economic decision making. In my opinion, these Ontario Class Of Basic Income Entrepreneurs should be called are Crown Corporations!
Interesting times ahead
