The battle for Beauce Maxime Bernier vs. fourth-generation dairy farmer Richard Lehoux – The Corrupt Morale of a Nation – August 24, 2019,
Until Canadian voters prove me wrong, I have Justin Trudeau winning the upcoming election, why because I have friends who work with or who work for the Government and when I talk to these people, many of them are anti-Scheer and know little to nothing about Maxime Bernier. Being that I’m living in Ontario many of these government friends I have who either work for the Municipal, Provincial or Federal sectors have a deep-rooted hatred for Doug Ford. With that said many don’t like the NDP, think The Greens are crazy and view Justin Trudeau as someone they might vote for, by default.
Being honest I’m well aware of the thinking behind many Conservative Party strongholds, one of the main reasons why the Conservative Party of Canada supports supply management is because they’d never get that Protectionist, Corporatist vote, had it not been for them(The Conservatives) turning a blind eye to Corporate Welfare. I hate to tell many of you Libertarian and Free Market RIght wingers this, but a large portion of Canadians are programmed to believe that they’re entitled to not be competitive.
I actually doubt that most Canadian businesses, especially in Quebec would know how to function in a free-market environment. In a free-market environment, a company has to provide actual value to a customer, that separates them from the competitors. Because, Richard Lehoux, a fourth-generation dairy farmer and long-time mayor from the Beauce area, can calm the nerves of the people who are pro-Corporate welfare, Maxime Bernier might have a hard time winning his riding.

Long-term however if Maxime Bernier loses his Beauce riding he may have to do what Jagmeet Singh did, which is maybe change his location to in this instance a section in Alberta, where I’m certain he’ll have a better chance of winning. Supply Management, for the most part, exists in Canada because of Quebec, Quebecers are the most anti-free-market Province in the Canadian Federation. Keynesian economics and Socialism has been working in Canada for the past 30+ years, I’m a free-market person, yes, but I’m a realist, Keynesianism is obviously coming to end, more and more parts of the world are adopting negative interest rate policies and global debt, in general, is becoming unsustainable, it’s only a matter of time before the market pulls the plug on all of this, but if you’re ignorant to historic market forces, you as a voter as a beneficiary o Corporate welfare, might decide to ride this system until the wheels fall off.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if Maxime Bernier lost the Beauce, because I think the people of Beauce might vote for Richard Lehoux for the same reason Canadians might vote for Justin Trudeau in the Federal election. They’re used to the corruption, they feel like they’re beneficiaries of the corruption, they’ve lost their moral compass morale of a nation might be to rally behind something they’re more familiar with, something they recognize, the familiarity of corruption.
Call it for what it is, the Canadian economy has been on the rise for 30+ years, now obviously we did this primarily because American politicians were too stupid to look at the details, but unfortunately for Canada, a Busines man with DEMOCRAT policies became the President of the United States. If one were to ignore Donald Trump the personality and only look at Donald Trump’s political policies, Donald Trump is actually a Democrat, he’s actually a Leftist, he’s actually a Protectionist.
Tariff man, Trumps called himself tariff man, well Canada is the king of tariffs, we owe our standard of living to tariffs, most Canadians companies wouldn’t exist as they exist today without tariffs, in many ways Trump’s policies mimic Canada, if you hate Trump’s immigration policies, well take a wild guess what country already has most of the immigration policies Trump is trying to create for America? Yes, you guessed it, Canada does! Canada’s immigration system prior to Justin Trudeau was merit-based, you rarely if ever read me writing anything negative about Canada’s merit-based immigration system which for the most part was drafted by LIBERALS!
You also don’t read me writing about protecting wages of Canadian workers, because, the reality is the Canadian standard of living is higher than the United States, Canada artificially lowers its currency to pay for Welfare. Canada and Australia as an example shouldn’t have the near parity currencies, our currency is devalued because if Canadian consumers purchasing power was raised to its proper value, Canadians consumers would start shopping in the United States again. It’s really that simple.
When I was younger, my family used to buy most of my clothes and electronics in the United States. The big corporations fought for the Bank of Canada to LOWER the value of the Canadian dollar. How did this come into fruition? Protecting Canadian jobs, like from my standpoint the Liquor Control Board of Ontario(LCBO) is a joke. I personally can’t believe Ontario has a Government enforced Liquor cartel and nobody says anything. New York is a Liberal State in America and both Quebec and Ontario have to set up strict tariffs to make sure that Canadians don’t flock to America to buy liquor in mass quantities.
In Canada, they even recently banned pocket knives, or I should say made it extremely expensive to import pocket knives from America, so if a Canadian were to buy an America pocket knife that costs $12USD it would cost a Canadian about $50-$100CAD for that exact same American made pocket knife. Now, to show you how the negative side effects to this, a Chinese made pocket-knife will still be around $12-$20CAD. Now, this is basically how the Dairy supply-management-cartel in Canada is set up. Via tariffs, there’s a trade barrier from the competition and similar to Canada Post, Canadian consumers pay for the dairy cartels employee wages and corporate profits.
This is how Crown Corporations are structured in Canada and it causes major price distortions, however, if you don’t understand what’s happening you’ll assume everything is normal. The problem is the cost of living in Canada have changed Canadians from savers to debtors, this, of course, doesn’t bode well, when actual private MANUFACTURING businesses who don’t benefit from Corporate welfare start leaving Canada in mass as the prices get so high that even with the tariffs they’d be better of manufacturing in foreign nation. Canada passed this threshold years ago and being that Trudeau is oblivious to economics, he’s actually accelerated the problem.
Most of these Farms in Quebec would probably go bankrupt in a few years if they had to compete with American farmers, which is what fourth-generation dairy farmer Richard Lehoux will use to take votes away from Maxime Bernier. I can see this clearly, I’m a realist, I’ll be shocked if Maxime Bernier wins, I’ll be shocked if Justin Trudeau loses. Now, do I want Justin Trudeau and Richard Lehoux to lose? Of course, I do, but I try my best to keep a pulse on the nation and I personally think things in Canada might have to get worse before they get better.
I genuinely don’t think Canadians understand that right now, Canada should be the richest nation in the world, so rich that Canadian consumers would be viewed as the most coveted consumers on the planet, but the corporatists don’t want this, humans with money, don’t vote for Liberals, don’t want big government and won’t allow multi-culturalism to invade their nation. People who have thought leaders aren’t leaders, are docile and allow their Government to rip them off over and over again. I’ve said it once I’ll say it again, I don’t care if the People’s Party of Canada gets 0.000001% of the vote, they have my vote and I have Maxime Bernier being a serious contender in the 2023 election as long as he continues fighting for the people.
But right now, I’m sorry, I just think things will have to get worse before they get better, I don’t think Canadians are going to vote for change when things on the surface appear to be fine. The global crash is coming and the embarrassing thing for Canada is that our crash s going to be mostly policy-based, which is going to be hard to hide when the truth is revealed. Again, the Canadian dollar is artificially low, and our trade barriers with the United States is what’s causing Canadians the most poverty.
The U.S has the most entrepreneurs on the planet and these business people are DESPERATE to get into the Canadian market, this, of course, means lower prices for Candian consumers and more people around the world using and hoarding Canadian dollars. Mexico genuinely can’t afford U.S made goods, Canada is entirely different, we’re manipulating our currency to prevent American businesses from being major players in our economy. The battle for Beauce Maxime Bernier vs. fourth-generation dairy farmer Richard Lehoux is a battle of the existing supply-management-protectionist orthodoxy and Maxime Berniers fight for a free market.
