Bill Nye the Science Guy is not worth much time, because he is not even a real scientist. Bill Nye is primarily a science communicator, educator, and mechanical engineer. What I will give Bill Nye credit for is that he is a great salesman.
So if you are wondering why this post is shorter than most, that is why. When you get into the debate of science or evolution versus creationism, it is actually an economics debate. For example, in China, they are developing and making advancements at an alarming rate, but their innovative capacity stops the moment it threatens the power of the Chinese Communist Party, which is why China remains reliant on the United States.
If America falls, China has no one to sell to, which is the core problem with communism. This is how it relates to Bill Nye. His entire science debate relies on Christians. There is nobody fighting for freedom of speech without Christians.
Science, Economics, and Freedom of Speech
If you offend a secularist, an atheist, a collectivist, a communist, or any variation of socialist ideology, there is no due process. This is especially true among people who do not believe in God or who place God second to political identity.
Censorship stunts science. Currently, if you push back against the Net Zero agenda, secularists do not want debate. They claim the science is settled. From a creationist point of view, these secularists have found one of their gods or idols, and if you do not believe in their climate gods, you must be censored.
Censorship also stunts economic growth. The only creationists who truly believe in freedom of speech are Christians. The appeal of being an atheist, evolutionist, or secularist is that morality can be invented on the fly. That is how science and innovation are stunted and how censorship is justified when words or ideas do not align with a tyrannical narrative.
Christianity, Morality, and Innovation
Christian education does not stop or prevent the evolution of science. What Christians are saying is that nothing tops my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That said, you are not a Christian if you do not love thy neighbor. For example, I love Bill Nye as a person and respect him as a salesman for science, but he should not forget what the world looks like when secularists are in charge.
The United Kingdom became more secular and now speech is literally being monitored. That is common among secularist systems. Christians, much like our Jewish brothers, are argumentative. We will fight for our God and remind the world why Yeshua is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and why through Jesus Christ we were able to unlock the Holy Spirit and draw closer to God.
Unlike Jews, Christians do not fall under the Law of Moses. We honor Moses as one of our prophets, but Yeshua gave us two commandments that He declared greater than all others.
Mark 12:29–31
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Economics, Property Rights, and Christian Foundations
Yeshua is our framework for freedom of speech. As a Christian, it would be unfair for me to force my neighbor into following my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I cannot force you to follow Christ, but do not mistake restraint for weakness, which many secularists do.
The entire economic framework that Bill Nye relies on would not exist without a Christian foundation. Secularists achieved most of their scientific progress under Christian dominance of the economy. There would be far more progress if Christians did not allow secularist foolishness to dictate economic direction.
I understand that secularists believe they can bully Christians, but do not forget where your wealth comes from. By wealth, I am not only referring to money, but to scientific advancements that would not exist without the freedom, liberty, and property rights brought to the world through Yeshua, Jesus Christ.
Science Without God Leads to Control
It is because Yeshua Jesus Christ taught us to love thy neighbor as thyself that Christians who truly love God remain patient with secularists. I challenge secularists to find Islamists or atheists who are as receptive to science and innovation as Christians have been historically.
Atheists are not always receptive to science. Secularist leaders desire control and obedience. Many atheists do not believe in property rights, which makes scientific advancement difficult in a secular world. If your god or idol is science itself, that position is deeply flawed. God is omnipresent, meaning He is the very source of the innovation that science promises. Worshiping science instead of God is an empty argument.
